Good times paddling up the creek. Multi species fishing. Clean cool water. Wildlife viewing. It’s all good. A bag of 1/8 ounce jig heads, curly tail grubs, and 6-8 # line on a spinning rod is my favorite creek fishing rig.
Being one with nature definitely has a calming effect 😌 and will help you through recovery from the big C!

Full props to you for being able to get out so soon after getting the COOF. It took me about 3 weeks when I had it. I fish primarily for smallmouth as well (have my videos on my channel). I try to keep it simple but always take about 40 pounds of lures/tackle.
I enjoyed this video a lot Alex, and i have to agree with you on getting out in a kayak and just drifting and fishing, there is something very majestic about that. Keep up the great videos and God Bless you sir.
Love fishing from my Kayak. I agree 100 % its so easy to fit in with nature. I've had beavers swim right next to me and even a Bald Eagle swoop down next to me. some times its hard to concentrate on fishing just enjoying nature

Congrats on getting out there, sir. I had it too and was just a killer headache and 2 weeks of low energy...but yeah, its weird. My wife was really sick for a few days after testing positive and then she bounced up in day 4 and that was it.
I like the Nucanoe a lot... seeing you turn around is just plain awesome. I have always hated reaching behind me and keep everything in front of me... maybe... when inventory comes back I can demo one. God Bless ya.

NuCanoe is the TRUTH! I own a Flint and an Unlimited. I used to fish out of Pursuit. Great platforms. Sooooo stable! I fish standing up probably 75-80%of the time.

They are great in my opinion I have 2
I had one and I just sold it. IMO the only reason to get a Nucanoe is if you really like to DIY everything and you want to motorize your kayak. The modularity is cool but it's also expensive. You'll be $3K deep on a new one before you realize it lol.
@@patrickbajier9915 I like mine for different reasons btw not a fan boy but for a hunting and fishing rig I don’t believe these can be beat. If it is strictly fishing there are probably better out there for not much more money.
@@KillenNReelinoutdoors yeah, I think that is a very good point. If you want a kayak that can do both hunting and fishing, this is literally the best you can get.

Thanks fellas. What intrigues me about this boat is the open floor plan, the transom mount, the extra seat option, and the upright seats, I prefer to sit up due to an old injury.
I went exploring a creek by my house. It was the only time I had to fish. And I saw the biggest snake head I've ever seen. I ended up catching a different one about half it's size . Them things are insane. And there everywhere on the eastern shore in MD. And I got my first bass on a plopler. Good day.
I want to catch a snakehead so bad!

Just curious do you run ratchet straps through the scupper holes? Ranchet straps are a lot stronger than most people think and they can cause the scupper holes to crack-I worked at a car and truck customization shop for years and we saw a tow truck drivers bend the C’s on the front axle by tying them to down too tightly
No I just run them over the top.
@@AlexRuddFishing I did a float down the Shenandoah River and if you want non stop smallie action there’s no better place- decent sizes and mean as hell- it’s definitely better suited to your paddle yak in most places, my Outback came out with some scars with how heavy they are
