I love this tutorial! It was so easy to follow and I could adjust it to make smaller jellyfish. For a medium sized jellyfish I stopped at row 5 of increases (30 stitches), did 5 rows of no increase or decrease, then did one row of decreases normally (24 stitches) and finally the last three rows of decreases in the back loop only. I ended up having 6 tentacles and did the fluffy border/popcorn-like stitches the same way you did it. For a small sized jellyfish I stopped at 4 rows of increases (24 stitches), did 4 rows of no increase or decrease, then did one row of decreasing normally (18 stitches), and finally did the last 2 rows of decreases in the back loop only. I made the tentacles a little shorter and slip stitched every 2 stitches instead of 3. After my last tentacle, I slip stitched 2 and then slip stitched to join into the first round of BLO. And for the fluffy border I used half double crochets instead of double crochets to make it smaller. I find that this size is perfect for a small keychain.
@@TheROCKnBEATT I think I used a 3.5 mm hook, but that was the smallest sized hook I had at the time so I didn’t have much of a choice 😅 It worked fine for me tho

@@Shamhbhavi yeah, as long as u are able to understand the stitches from her explanations or other videos you can make this, be careful with ur yarn choice tho, you could end up with a giant one
Absolutely love your video, instructions is clear to understand and I appreciate the fact that the video is made very close to the camera so first timers or inexperienced people like me can see clearly how to crotchet it. I made my first jellyfish tonight, I must have miscalculated the stitch as my jellyfish appears 20% bigger 😂. I’ve watched a lot of videos but found yours is easier to understand and you use 1 chain techniques to complete the project rather than end, nip and start with a new yarn again.😊
I made a little adjustment: instead of tracking back to the front loop, starting from round 14, I make 15 popcorn stitches with 7 dc stitches each one. Round 14: [pop(7dc), chain 1, skip the next stitch] x 15 Round 15: 30sc Round 16: [3sc, dec] x 6 Round 17: [2sc, dec] x 6 Round 18: After you joined the round with a slip stitch, chain 20, skip 2 and make 18 dc on the chain. Decrease with slip stitch in the next 2 stitch. Slip into the next stitch and repeat all the steps. To make the tentacles look more vividly (each tentacle has a different length), you could customize the chain number. Leave a long tail and cut the yarn, fasten off.
