the explorer is a better engineer than the engineer. he drops bonus trees so go with the pocket factory or whatev and keep increasing tree rate. I had well over 50 on the map at once and nothing stood a chance! give it a try.
i have. honestly its really difficult if you dont get pocket factory which is unlikely due to the fact that it isn't more likely to get as explorer doesnt have the tag to make engineering items more probable. but it is broken if you do get pocket factory but the start is so slow and sluggish and the main problem is that the map size is increased. you want it smaller so they are more likely to be in the radius of your turrets. other alternates for engineer are the old and multitasker. old is fun because basically if the turret isnt in the corner itll be constantly dealing damage. and the multitasker is literally good with anything. like theres 0 downside to using him. because if you do the math 40-(12x5=60) = -20 damage, but it is essentially 100% more due to having the same number of weapons so for having all 12 weapons you get effectively 80% extra damage. and theres no negative line for him. basically the most versatile character ever. like literally anything can work on him

Kept dying on wave 20. Came here to see what winning was - found out I'm right there lol. I use a similar turret strat but I load up with SMGs/Well rounded guy. Maybe now I'll beat wave 20 though

I used ranger for danger 0 and got full dripped on SMGIIV bc they have good attack rate and good dmg (i had some multiple negative stats that time)
