Informative video. Great looking reel. I just don’t see myself giving up the tried and true ambassador I got from my dad 20+ years ago.
A reel like this would be a great paring for some Sebile Magic Swimbaits I recently picked up. They are like tossing a rock. Keep up the good work. If you were planning to splurge and buy a $600 reel, you could still keep both of these Curados. The 4.7 reel would be great for going deep offshore too.

Bro... I was recently diagnosed is a rare type of auto-immune disease in the form of inflammatory arthritis. I was in hospital for about 2 weeks and couldn't walk for about 2 months. I am currently on the mend, basically I started walking without a crutch today! I know what you mean when you say you would be paralyzed with your back injury as I used to experience that in the past aswell. I needed a Voltaren shot just to start to walk again. Hope you recover and never go through that again.

Currently in service because I took to salt and some corrosion took place.
Looks like same shimano quality which is a good thing!
I've always heard that when not using the reel you should leave the drag relaxed instead of cranked down to prevent damaging the drag washers.
Ive heard that too but pretty much all the reels Ive bought have had tightened drags
Yes, I would take great care of that Shimano 300 reel. I already have a swimsuit rod prepped for it ;) Have been wanting a Shimano for a long time, but haven't broken down due to price point... $$$

Hello,I need a little help, I live in Sweden and mostly fish pike, I have Lew's bb1 pro baitcaster and I don't know if that reel can be used for rubber baits up to 60 gr if you can help me because I don't want to damage the reel if that weight will break reel inside thanks for your reply🎣🎣🎣😃

Hi can you guys maybe tell me which DC reel I can use for big baits also not just the curado?!
And especially I need a 6,5 foot rod for pike and bass but should be able to throw stuff from 20-150 grams still. And not be so damn too heavy. Maybe you guys have some more ideas then me.

I own the Lew's super duty 300 it's great
I do too and prefer it to my Tranx 301A. The only thing desirable about the Curado 300 for me is that super low IPT (~25 inch) for big soft baits and crankdowns.

Man now I'm torn between the tatula 300 and the curado 300.... maybe I'll just get both!
I do have 2 leqs superduty wide spools. Put the big power handles on them. One 8: g.r. and other 6: g.r. and both are sick. I frogged on my 8: g.r. for 3 years and its still smooth, now I have 20lb flouro for glidebaits on it. One thing about lews, if u take care of them and keep them clean and lubed up they'll last years
The Tatula 300 is in a different price category. Im curious as to the size of it though
@@THEREELTEST yeah me to, the og tatulas were bigger body reels and the new tat 100's are smaller, the 150's are about the same size as the o.g.'s and I think the tatula 200 is the same size as 150 just deeper spools. But.dont have a 200 so I'm curious also. Maybe I'll win the contest and then buy a tatual and do a video! Lol, that would be sick. Keep on doin what you do, the best reviews on the tube!

not a very good one haha just talking in the chat I have some deps slide swimmer 145 I’ve Tried with the curado 200 It worked okay I wonder if the older braking system will do a better job of slowing a heavy bait like that when casting because I felt with the 200 it almost needs a little bit more breaking to slow it down on the cast I have a older citica 200 salt water Version with old VBS braking system it dose a really good job with bigger bites Interested to see how curado 300 braking systems work with Heavier bates
Im not going to be throwing super heavy baits. probably nothing over 4 oz

What is with all the letters for these reels?
After seeing this, I now regret my decision to pass on a Tatula 200 I saw for $130 for large swim baits. Don't get me wrong, Daiwa is not Shimano, but when you compare some of the specs, the TAT200H looks like a swimbait sleeper reel--granted it has less drag than the 300k, but the line capacity is almost identical (180m/0.32mm) plus it has an aluminum frame+sideplate. It probably all comes down to the durability of the gears.
I have the K and would like to have the 300 for big swimbaits!
BB1 Pro gets the job done with baits under 3oz. Nowhere near close to the torque Tranx have
