Jamie is an absolute gentleman and spent a good 20 minutes chewing the fat with me in the audience at The Barras Electric 13 tour before popping on stage for a few numbers. He recently complimented me on my own material which I sent him old demos of. Billy is very down to earth too.
Oh wow! I was wondering where this interview disappeared to! Oh why does Ian have to be so beautiful? 😍 thank you so much ScottishTeeVee 💓 you know how much I love Ian! Billy too of course (my favourite Axeman 😍 ❤)
No harm in trying out Southern Death Cult also Jane, an early version of the band, Love is an amazing album, but earlier tunes like Gods Zoo and spiritwalker are classics,,, enjoy my friend
@@brendandunleavy1399 SDC is not an early version of the Cult. SDC is and always was a separate entity to the Cult. Ian has said this in quite a few interviews. Check out the interview on an Australian TV program titled The Noise and Ian specifically states that SDC was a different entity. Death Cult WAS the early Cult. Only Ian was in SDC. Billy and Nigel were members of Theatre of Hate. Jamie was in a band with Ray Mondo called Ritual. Having said that, they were huge in the underground/counterculture scene in the early 80s. So yes definitely worth checking out Jane! Ian's energy is infectious!
Los Angeles Smangeles. I wish The Cult had stayed in the UK longer, recorded Sonic Temple with Keith Forsey producing, and Billy using his Gretsch instead of the Les Paul.
@@Enevan1968, I'd say this was their second, but Ian is already talking about what is coming next! I'd say they had the punky/jangly phase, then this rock phase and then the progy/hippie phase.
Steve Brown said that had they not gone to LA, they'd have been the next Led Zep. Have to admit to being a little upset at the move myself. "The kids of the coco-cola nation", eh, Ian? Who remembers the fabulous name of the awesome support act on '87 Electric tour?
that skull is generally associated with the Nazi SS. Where they really that clueless? In other videos I also seen the guitarist wear the German Iron Cross. They seem too articulate for not knowing.

The Cult effin jams!!!! They get a lot of radio play here in Los Angeles to this very day
I wish they gave Jamie an opportunity to speak up. His personal review of the latest UTMS is brilliant.
It is odd that he never even got a single word in, after this he must have wondered why bother to go to interviews with Ian or Billy.

My favourite cult album.. Quality🏴🥃
ResurrectionJoe is a fucking amazing video. Suits the song perfectly with its mixed forms of gritty Brit bits!
This is just class.. So enjoyed watching this and had such a big crush on Billy Duffy.. Your channel is brilliant ✨

The start of their "second phase"!
Wasn't this the third phase?

What's a energy center??
I love The Cult
still fucking cool!
Thanks for watching and commenting
Jamie seemed checked out but hard to talk over Billy and Ian.

I would love to see the Resurrection Joe video. I bet it’s cool🎶😊 but I love film and old Victorian themes.

Was it Zodiac Mindwarp and the Love Reaction?
@@ScottishTeeVee Close, but it was Gaye Bikers On Acid.
@@mikamusic4503 Ah, right, I I never knew that they had toured with the Cult, I still have some Gaye Bikers on Acid singles from back in the day.
I thought you meant Guns N Roses. They opened for them as well
Ian is gorgeous
What was the purpose have having Jaimie Stewart just sitting there saying nothing?
Yeah it's a shame he just never got a word in. Here's an interview where he does get to speak, back in 1985. ruclips.net/video/XbzKNHrlX8s/видео.html
Jamie the best bass player ever - why couldn’t the other 2 let him get a word in?!!!
They went to shit when Jaime left.

No nazi shit, just an homage to Jim Morrison and his hat in famous '69 Miami concert
He wore a hat with a skull on it 35 years ago. Get over It
yuck LA
