These engine platforms have been in development for many years. Just because Skidoo released it to consumers first doesn’t mean Polaris just slapped a turbo on to compete the next season.... They don’t build this stuff overnight! The 850 was the same story. 4-5 years of development and Skidoo released it first. It is what it is! The boost system and its power increase at all elevations, on paper at least, sounds like it’s superior to Skidoo’s design of turbo elevation compensation.... So we’ll have to see how they perform in the real world! Either way, it’s nice that there’s at least 2 manufacturers competing and driving innovation in the industry.

What did you snow check? I did slash boost khaos 155 2.75 track. However I don’t know if I should of gone with 163/165 pro and with 3” track. Seem like everyone ordering that combo pro slash boost 163 3”
@@vincelombardi2669 id stay away from 3". If you are a good enough rider that 2.75 can be ridden year round. I did the 165 simply cause I'm a big dude and I tend to sink on the 155. My buddy did the khaos 155 and he's a light guy so he will love it.

If you are into steep and deep the khaos might struggle climbing but you can always adjust limiter straps and such to make it work same with the rear skid suspension set it up so the front end doesn't want to come up as much

And I know the khaos is wheelie king which is not what I all wanted but I wanted 155 this time and they didn’t make the pro boost in 155. I think with the center shock all the way soft and the rear all the way stiffer I’m hoping this will help with ski lift. And I’m sure I can always throw on the pro limiter too. I think a iQS fox upgrade would be nice for the khoas to lock out the rear when you want to. I have them on my 2021 alpha and those floats with electronic are so nice.

Its cool and all but imma stay with my boosted 08 nytro and fight the ladies off with a club, seems to be working good so far. Im also not keen on the 23k price tag, they are goin the way of yamaha when the sidewinder was at 20k 2 yrs ago. The thing i like is that the turbski is a conventional turbski and not an altitude compensator, it makes boost regardless of the altitude and thats how it should be.
Snowtrax didn't have much good to say about the skidoo turbo, said it the extra weight didn't compensate for the extra hp. Who thinks the new Polaris will be praised to the highest 😆
I'd like to see it compared to the na matryx slash and the axys. They haven't mentioned any weight numbers so im guessing it's a bit heavier than the axys. I think snowtrax will have good things to say because the turbo adds hp at all elevations so it's not just extra weight at sea-level.

This has 10% hp more then the NA 850 Patriot. The Polaris NA is rated at 170-173hp on the dyno, so around 190hp at sea level up to 10k ft. Where as the Ski-Doo's turbo acts as counter balance for increased altitude, but does not add any extra power
Everyone keeps talking about a factory turbo sled, why aren't we hearing about a factory super charged sled? I mean, if Arctic Cat has been working with Speedwerx for their race sleds it should be good.
Superchargers are belt driven, meaning they take power to make power. The advantages to them are boost off idle, where the turbo has to spool. I think turbo's are more popular because they weigh less, and they don't rob power from these tiny little motors.

I'm guessing Doo released their turbo late season last year to beat Polaris to the market. I think Doo may have held back boosting the thing to the moon right off the hop. They released just enough to get people drooling at a factory turbo with warranty, seem to have proven reliability over this season. I bet Doo will release a re-tune that trumps the Polaris. It's kinda like the diesel market in that way. Brands going at it like this is only good for us, or the the ones that can afford the admission to play.

I seen that. They also said the turbo didn’t kick in until 7000ft. But, that’s were turbo stopped topping up the horsepower. They didn’t have a clue.
