I can't help but feel uneasy about the prospect of such a world, this termination of the instrumental. It seems to me that there's something inherently meaningful in overcoming the learning curve, feeling your abilities expand with effort; the sweat and exhilaration of a workout etc. Even if you could take a pill to produce not just the desired body, but accompanying buzz of a workout, would that really sit well with you psychologically? Think of some of the most popular stories, be they films, books, series, narrative video games. So often what we're witnessing is the characters overcome adversity, often seemingly insurmountable. Who doesn't love an underdog?
When you can take a pill to produce your desired body, we will have the technology to change the simulation. I.e. reincarnate your consciousness into a life where this adversity is overcome.

The neo citizen would self evaluate on interests which would lead to forms of comparative interests race based on power. Whose interests are most worthy to draw on the pinnacle of AI hard power ( electrons jumping orbitals for interests) as a form of soft power realpolitik (neuronal actualisation) where super star interests command maximal AI attention and so are upward gazing to the gladiator of interestingness. The greed in for a form of self-evaluation that can maintain a top dog position or leadership role within an in-group that is correlated to hard power in the form of the manifold of AI world systems theory in a post modern age. Enchantment in a post modern sense might be realised through enclaves governed by forms of AI spiritual materialism.

Just like when no one needed to work on the farm any longer, lots of new work in different areas materialized. Second, I have always felt that a good day is measured by achievement, not by leisure.
