    Bergara's are great. But don't forget to give credit to Hornady Precision Hunter ammo -- in my rifle, consistent out of the box sub-1/2-MOA accuracy out to 350 yards. And kudos to the Leupold scope -- it gives you the ability to quickly and accurately adjust to any distance and see your shots. We are so lucky to be able to enjoy such world-class technology at reasonable prices.

    Excellent overview and review there Todd. I appreciate you taking it out to the field and doing more real life scenarios and also thanks 🙏 for correcting yourself when you said caliber and fixed it to cartridge.
    I have liked the Bergara lineup for a while and they’re an option for the next rifle to go with my Savages in 270 Win and 300 WSM respectively. 😎

      @@toddhelms5241 you are welcome 🙏. My CVA Optima V2 which has a Bergara barrel shoots well. Aside from wishing that they had more left handed models I would like to see them add a few more cartridges to each model. I hope they will in the future especially with their newer models.

    I have a 6 creedmore i shoot regularly to 1000 and a 300 prc that makes the 36 inch gong at one mile ring cold bore every time . I love the Bergara rifles . These two rifles shoot side by side with rifles that cost much much more and make me look like a hell of a shooter . All I can say is thanks Bergara and don’t knock it until you try it!!!

      Lol. My Bergarbage B-14 HMR in 308 shoots about 1 MOA 5-shot groups. It is easily the worst shooting rifle I've ever owned. Being able to hit a 2 MOA gong is far from impressive.

      None. I think the carbon is a tad more accurate but perhaps not enough to justify an extra $500? I do enjoy the weight savings of the Carbon Ridge over the steel barreled version though.

    Own the regular steel barrel B-14 Wilderness Ridge SP. Anybody bothered by the 90° throw lever? Not me. Enough clearance for the scope while cycling the action. Only thing that's a bit off for me is the missing bolt lock on safe that I'm used by my Tikka

    I have a B-14 HMR in 308. The gun looks and feels good but it barely shoots sub-MOA. I have a Tikka that shoots groups half the size. I wouldn't buy another Bergara product. The great stock and silky smooth bolt mean nothing if your gun doesn't shoot.

    • @Simon-talks
      @Simon-talks Год назад +3

      it can be different from rifle to rifle. Plenty of people are online reporting their tikkas barely shoot moa and people are reporting 0.30 MOA out of their Bergaras. That's the luck of the draw with any brand. Even cheap Savages, CVA's and Ruger Predators all the way up to 5,000.00 dollar rigs...

    • @michaelhill6451
      @michaelhill6451 Год назад

      @@Simon-talks No. That's what happens with completely sh*t QC which Bergara clearly has. In fact, I know someone with the same model of Tikka and theirs shoots the same size groups with the same load. That's consistency.
      That said, heaven help you if you ever need CS from Tikka. It is owned by Beretta and Beretta USA has legendarily bad CS. Like, straight up ignore you or hold your firearm hostage for years level bad.

    • @Simon-talks
      @Simon-talks Год назад +1

      @@michaelhill6451 no, that’s what happens with all of the brands you get a lemon here and there, every actual intelligent person knows this…but Bergara is world renowned for their barrels. They have made some of the most world-class barrels for many many years.

    • @michaelhill6451
      @michaelhill6451 Год назад

      @@Simon-talks No, actually. That's what happens with trash brands like Bergarbage. Normally when you get a lemon the company that sold you the lemon makes it right...Not in the case of Bergarbage. They just tell you that sh*t performance is acceptable to them and don't do anything about it. Honestly though, from all the reviews I've seen of the 308 version of the HMR, sh*t performance is about what you can expect. Like maybe 1 MOA with premium ammo/handloads if you squint real hard to discount "flyers".
