224 hp is plenty for a car that weighs 3594 pounds. That's actually one of the segment best p/w ratios. So when you say "it's really all not that much" you clearly haven't done any research. Also 3500 pounds towing is the best you can get in the compact CUV segment. If your going to review a car at least make sure what your saying has some base to it.
I got my GT model and is incredible good in gas millage. I feel the hp enough when you push the gas and is sweet, quiet, and your going to surprise how great is in deep snow.I was surprise because I feel better than my jeep runing in snow and ice.
A car is only good for two things: To get you there, and to get you back. Mitsubishi has great reliability in that regard. My 03 Outlander AWD is approaching 200K miles, with no major issues other than a new transmission at about 180K miles. Still on the original timing belt. For me reliability speaks louder than bells and whistles. Plain for me is just fine. At 140hp, is is definitely lacking, but I've gotten used to it, as you would tend to do with whatever you drive. Mitsubishi is way underrated in my opinion. I'm considering either a new Outlander, or possibly the Sport model (which I think is visually more appealing). I don't need third row seats, and I guess it's not an option to not get one now.
i was gonna get a used santa fe, but every single one i tried was busted. when i thought i got a good one, i even bought it, but as soon as i hit dirt i noticed the AWD coupling was busted. i returned it and gave up on the santa fe. love the car, but im NOT willing to deal with its unreliability. so i'm getting one of these instead. i think. i found a few, i'm gonna go see what they're like
Me too .If they die I will truly miss them .But they've haven't gone anywhere yet.If they were dying they would've been gone long ago.You been at a Mitsubishi dealership lately? They have too nice vehicles to just die off.Mitubishi is so underrated and underappieciated its a shame.Ill take one over the other brands anyday.
My 1994 montero has 235k miles on it with no problems other than routine oil changes. Great family and off road vehicle. Mitsubishi needs to bring the montero back to the US
I agree. I used to drive a Mitsubishi Colt. It was a very economical and reliable car. I think Mitsubishi is very underrated and as you said people are not aware how a solid transportation it is.
MrJbee73 I agree. My father has a 2017 Outlander GT V6 and it gets quite good gas mileage for a V6 crossover SUV. It could use a little more power, but overall it's a smooth V6 and the fuel economy is good.
I bought a used 2014 Outlander 3.0 V6 GT in June after my baby (a 2010 Aveo) died. It doesn't have the nav system and it has "Carbon fibre" where the fake wood trim is in this one but everything else is the same. I went from an over worked 1.6l inline 4 with 106 hp to a 224(?) 3.0l v6...I can not complain one bit. I love this car so much. The biggest complaint i have about it is very first world problem, but I HATE the BlueTooth connectivity in it. I miss my AUX cord hook up.
HP....... Back in 1973 Chevy 3500 series pickup owners boasted about the 230-240 HP their 454 cui. V8's made. My neighbor towed a huge trailer across the USA and boasted about the power. All of this with a 3sp automatic. Give me a break. Now 500 hp is not enough for a compact car........ You buy the Outlander with the 2.4L plenty of power and high 20's to low 30's mpg...
Right. They are def behind in the marketing game. I can't even think of the last commercial I saw about their cars. Plus they have the legendary EVO and customizable Lancer, so they should be capitalizing on their successes.
Very True. The last commercial I saw, was the Outlander Sport and its performance on ice. However, still, there is no reason not to have a better marketing. After all, Mitsubishi is a big corporation. They should be able to do it, at least, as good as Subaru, which is of Fuji Industries.
Great comment. Yes, I know that the Jetta is unreliable. I think Mitsubishi needs to really step-up their marketing campaign, like Nissan, Honda, etc. Most people don't know these cars exist.
You are wrong about the fuel economy and power. I own this car. i get about 500 -520 in mixed driving. it is a 60 l tank. Also this car can hit 60 mph in 7 sec. It can tow only 3,500 LBS? What crap is that? which other compact SUV can do that? Please do not mislead consumers? We know the third rows is only for kids. At least, the seat is there. Another reason why consumers should not listen to auto journalist but test drive and make their decision
I agree. Mitsubishi is a solid transportation as well. I used to own a Mitsubishi Colt back in the days. a very solid car and economical too. but there are things going on behind the scene. Europeans are trying to take over the American market. They bad mouth Suzuki, which was also a solid transportation, out of the North American market already and now they are focusing on Mitsubishi. Mitsubishi moving out of US market would be a shame indeed. European brands are expensive to maintain anyway.
If you have third row seats that is because you have 2 or 3 kids. You won't buy a car with three rows expecting to be able to fit adults in the way back.
The guy was complaining about everything! Maybe he's a mitsubishi hater lol i own the 2012 outlander GT 230hp V6 model and it has decent power and its real good on gas, hell its better on gas then my pontiac 4 cylinder! So not sure why he says it isn't good on gas if you step on it. Tbh i hardly ever have to step on it,so gas is real good, yea if i feel spirited and go petal to the metal then yea gas mileage will drop but it isn't necessary to unleash 230hp for regular driving.
I have watched plenty of videos on outlanders. seems like these car reviewers has a paid bias against mistibushi cars. 90% of people comments on these outlander (2010 - 2016) review are very positive. Wonder why these guys keep bitching
Outlander is a good car. Looks is subjective and this MItsubishi is solid car and where the European piece of crap luxurious cars get stuck, whether it may be a paved road or off road, this machine will take you where you want to go safe and sound. After all, there is the Pajero heritage behind this :)
Hopefully, no one at mit. got the same mentality like yours which will only speed up their exit from the auto market. In fact, both mitsu and suzuki didn't really need anyone badmouthing them to trigger poor sale. consumers are more aware of what they can get for their money from places like....youtube.
Looks are subjective... The Outlander also has 50 less horsepower and a inferior infotainment system. The Outlander is not a bad car nor is the Journey. They are very equal to IMO.
This is my favorite 7 person car...I don't know why but I love this car!
Hi, based on your experience
will this be convenient for a family of 6? Kids ages currently, 18M, 2M, 4.5Y, 7Y?
Panayiotis Omirou now a shogun sport

I am thinking on getting a used ,2014 is that good

These are high underrated, super reliable and nice to drive SUV’s
I hope more people think like you; I really want Mitsubishi to be doing well again.

Wait for the hybrid one to come out. I bet everyone will want one. 80+mpg for a suv? why not.
My 1994 montero has 235k miles on it with no problems other than routine oil changes. Great family and off road vehicle. Mitsubishi needs to bring the montero back to the US
I love Mitsubishi Cars!
It is a personal taste. You may not like but others like it. it is not like every other SUV. Plus the all wheel drive is one of the best
I agree. I used to drive a Mitsubishi Colt. It was a very economical and reliable car. I think Mitsubishi is very underrated and as you said people are not aware how a solid transportation it is.
So negative. My Outlander GT gets crazy good mileage. I gas up every 5 days.
MrJbee73 I agree. My father has a 2017 Outlander GT V6 and it gets quite good gas mileage for a V6 crossover SUV. It could use a little more power, but overall it's a smooth V6 and the fuel economy is good.
nice to see a real man review a car normally there are only midgets raving on how much room you have in the back seats
It is attractive and is unique. Not like every other SUV
The exterior design of this suv is not for everyone. In my opinion, the GT model looks pretty sweet on paper.
I bought a used 2014 Outlander 3.0 V6 GT in June after my baby (a 2010 Aveo) died. Actually styling is quite good. especially if you like Audis this car is an art work in comparison.
Why cant you use forward facing car seat in 3rd row?
Xeyirli olsun ela maşındı.mende eyniyle o maşinnan istifadə edirəm .
power this, power that, yadda yadda. go buy an X5 if you're all about that power.
Great comment. Yes, I know that the Jetta is unreliable. I think Mitsubishi needs to really step-up their marketing campaign, like Nissan, Honda, etc. Most people don't know these cars exist.
Hallo anyone help im gonna buy one of this 7 seater is it good suv with no problems?
Sound system is great. Fuel economy is good. Looks low key kinda sexy at night lol. Sitting on rims obviously is better. Awd is good. Ride i

I've been thinking of getting one. Thank you for this.
Definitely--agreed
Yes, but he drove the car. Wouldn't you want to drive it too to see if it has enough power for you?
True, but for me, it would not have enough power. It needs a V6.
Lighting on this video was terrible! I can't see anything.
I agree. Mitsubishi is a solid transportation as well. I used to own a Mitsubishi Colt back in the days. a very solid car and economical too. but there are things going on behind the scene. Did the guy in the vid say it hit 60 in 7 seconds? That sounds too good to be true for this SUV> If so, he should have said it.
this guy does not know what he talking about.. 224 hp is more than enough power. This SUV is 3,571 lbs.
Just pass 200k with regular oil change every 5k miles. Not bad.
Get Ron Doron back cmon man you guys lost subscribers because of not having him.
where is the other big dude?
Great car that is held back by its styling, unfortunately. The chief designer needs to be fired ASAP.
5:40 come on Nathan...
Yes, utter nonsense
If you have third row seats that is because you have 2 or 3 kids. You won't buy a car with three rows expecting to be able to fit adults in the way back.
This guy sounds like he really does not want to review this car... lol
This car commentary chris like driving speed demon vehicles, the mitsubishi outlander wasn't intended for that.
Safest car on earth as ppl will avoid hurting their eyes by diving as far as possible.
There is a dealer really close to me. "Roger Beasley Mitsubishi"

"only car in its class with a 3rd row seat". Wrong. Dodge journey has one, a much more useable one I might add.
Journey looks like a mommy mobile...
And this doesn't?
RonTheWoodman Nope this doesnt Ron. And it has a superior AWD system.
Looks are subjective... The Outlander also has 50 less horsepower and a inferior infotainment system. The Outlander is not a bad car nor is the Journey. They are very equal to IMO.
I agree that it is for a very small market, but it is too under powered to justify for my tastes.
This car looks more like a 2006
its a gundam!
Cool Silver Metallic. AKA: Fucking silver like every other fucking car on the road.
And you read like you are so willing to say something smart. (you fail)
There is absolutely nothing attractive about this car
Is you just gonna look at it or drive it? Hopefully drive it. Cmon now!
wow, fussinated really fumed over comments made against your beloved mits.
what?
Eat less junk food and enjoy small cars!!!!!!
to eats its owm
This is the ugliest car on the market....
I'll take it.You can get you a party ride. Make sure you don't walk to buy it.
