    Today i found your channel and it around midnight in my country but I really can't think of sleeping after i found your videos. Eventhough i was speaking english, I had many many grammar issues where i felt so embarrassed infront of many people. So thank you for conducting those lessons. And I'm greatful atleast i was recommended this after many years!

    Another things I know, correct me if I'm wrong:
    - you can only say "if I were you" but you can't say "if I was you"
    - you can change was into were if you are writing something more formal (this one I'm not sure, pls correct me)

    In conditionals we should use - "If I were you" in most cases

      'i were ' just use only when we have any desire ,any wish. For example if I were rich I would buy a car

    For additional: There's an exception to that. We used were if you're talking something isn't true. (Ex. As if he were a policeman) or if I were you.

    This video should be available to every inner city school child in the usa. To listen to someone from the south or from inner cities speak can make a mind boil!!! I may not be articulate, have an academic education but I still know that 'Me & John was at the park.' is incorrect. Do they teach grammar in schools in America?

      "If I were you" is correct. B'coz we used "were" if you're talking something isn't true or wishing something was true. (Ex. He was so strict as if he were incharged)
