    Cool Harley Dave 😎. I can remember seeing my all time favourite American ride Cal Rayborn over here in England in the early 70's for the Transatlantic series. Seeing and hearing Cal on his Harley going around Gerrards bend at Mallory Park will stay in my mind for ever. RIP Cal 😢 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

    The best looking Harley post =70 imo if HD had made a street bike that looked like this the GSXRs and Ducatis would have been chasing their sales. Even a tuned down street version, my pal has the pre evo '83 Electra Glide Police special it is historically cool as well Evo a year before release to public.

    I always thought it strange that they put the heavy, less efficient drum brake on the front and the disc out back.

      True

    • @kurtfoulke5130
      @kurtfoulke5130 3 месяца назад

      Don't bet on that brake being heavier or less effective than an equivalent disc from the era.
      In 72 an XR750 had NO brakes, when the rules changed to allow them, a small disc was easily adapted to the rear only.

    • @blipco5
      @blipco5 3 месяца назад

      @@kurtfoulke5130 It’s unsprung weight. Every ounce counts on these race bikes. The old board track bikes didn’t have brakes and only one speed. Those guys rode them over 100 mph. Nuts.
