That’s actually a Red River Hog. Since I volunteer at a zoo, it’s common for visitors to mistake them for warthogs due to the Lion King.

The goat's there because most llamas and alpacas get along with them, have similar diets, and as the other person said will often protect them if they're endangered. For what it's worth, you CAN actually crossbreed llamas with camels, but the resultant animal will be infertile.

@@invictus88 I was gonna say it might be a stressful experience for them, being unfamiliar and etc. They dont have the reasoning we do and the smaller/prey animals will think they're being preyed upon, even if they're familiar with humans.

That’s part of their instincts. Even though they are fed everyday and have enough to eat with the possibility of extra treats. As a volunteer zoo docent, I’ve seen big cats stare at kids in strollers.

Alot of these animals have never really seen each other before they are so used to seeing humans alot, the second they see another animal that not like them it catches their interest. But will say I think penguins have the best reaction to seeing so many types of fish that they have very much never seen.

Calisa, snakes only eat about every three to four weeks and can go for months without food because it takes a long time to digest their meal. I don’t think that snake is hungry.
I love the intelligence these animals show. While some couldn’t care less, others show genuine curiosity to creatures they normally would never see.
