- So, Sabretooth in Marvel vs Capcom 2 isn't really a bad character... I can see why people think he sucks, but there's pretty cool things about him! Let me know what you all think about him in this game.

Sabertooth has the weirdest assist in the game. Call in Sabertooth assist, so he can call in an assist to assist him as the assist.

As low tier as sabretooth is, I absolutely love his voice in this game, he really sounds like an unhinged beast when he does his specials
I believe it’s the voice actor who voiced him in the X men animated series during the 90s. I’m also a huge fan of the actor who does the voice of Wolverine for the game as well as the show.
@@johnd6015 it seems that way with Storm, Cyclops, and Juggernaut though definitely not Gambit or Magneto. Rogue is from the cartooon also.

@@johnd6015 Omega Red is also the same voice actor from the cartoon and it seems like most of the voice actors are fellow Torontonians, cuz I'm pretty sure X-men was made in a Canadian studio for Fox. The Magneto voice actor is different, but he's Torontonian also.
@@johnd6015 The voice over for Psylocke, who I don't remember being in the cartoon, but she is the voice actress for Jean Grey in the cartoon and she is Canadian to, but not from Toronto.
To do the Sabertooth infinite, u need to do Standing Light kick and then crounching light kick. This way works on most characters

Sabertooth is like a big fish in a small pond in X-Men vs Street fighter. Similar to Thanos in Marvel Superheroes or M. Bison in SFA3 , They are beast in some games but here some characters are much better than them
That juggernaut throw into the Ken assist was down right nasty
That opponent's Jin putting in all the work and carrying the team
The HUGE problem I see for Sabertooth is this:
He his Normal & Hyper Throw is POTENTIALLY Very Powerful. After all, it's a grab that you can do FROM DISTANCE.
The PROBLEM is that it works UNLIKE every other attack in the game.
80-85% of the game uses lines. (Attacks up, down, left, right, and diagonals relatively speakling)
The others use Circles or Domes for the other 14-19%. (Chun-Li's Fireball Dome or Storm's Air Lightning)
The other 1% is Sabertooth's throw and Cable's grenade.
Now Cable's Grenade is FAR easier, due to being an Object AND being in control of WHEN it explodes. So you can track and explode it p easily
His THROW works in a WEIRD ARC, like a 180 degree angle, but as a LINE and NOT a Dome.
So UNLESS you hit your enemy in a SPECIFIC Arc, you WILL miss.
To hit an enemy on the ground, you have to be about 50% of the screen width away.
There's also the weird arc is it travels 180 degrees in a line, which is WHY it hit Storm when she was diagonally up from Sabertooth.
This means that you'll have to MASTER judging that throwing distance AND making sure they do NOT move OUT of that space.
one victory with a team of lower tiers is far, FAR, more interesting than any victory with any team using top tiers. I'm way past over seeing ppl play using the same boring teams. Thanks for keeping it interesting Justin.

sabretooth seems to be the only one who have no special/super moves that can be done in the air

With regards to Ratios, I'd be comfortable with Sabertooth being dropped to 1 and Chun-Li raised to 1, along with Sentinel (and possibly Storm) being 6.
With Chun at 0 there's no reason to pick the other 0s.
You can't play with Sentinel at all then because ratio is limited to 7. Who's going to pick Sentinel with roll????? The ratio is fine as is. It already killed VDO's team. Sentinel, Storm, Mag is fine as is. Ratio format is just for fun too. You barely see anyone do good with ratio sentinels.

Sabertooth is not that good of a character I would have him mid level but juggernaut was getting it done I love it ken as well
If this game had the old character from previous crossovers untouched it would of been sooo much balanced.. you can tell the xvsf roster was the most nerfed.. lot of character on previous games had infinites and variety of combos due the six button configuration.. medium attacks where key on old characters to follow up combos

I'm big fan since 2012, I think your videos would be better if you left the entire footage of the fight instead of random highlights. Other fgc channels that I watch like jmcrofts, hookganggod and dotodoya do it that way and me and a lot of people find it more enjoyable.

1:40 I feel like Dhalsim could really change the top-tier competitive metagame when someone finds a new way to use him.
Ruby Heart, Sim, Cammy, Blackheart, Spiral, Strider and Doom could all suddenly become decent in high level tournaments
As a long time Spiral/Dhalsim/Blackheart player I can confirm there is a lot of unfound sauce with these characters, much of which my old ass isn't nearly good enough to make work.
If anything holds these characters back though it is simply execution.
Most of these characters which are just on the cusp of being God tier certainly CAN break through should someone with enough skill and dedication get behind them and stick with them. Which could potentially shake up the meta a bit.
The problem though is that execution. When it comes to high level play, is it worth it to play a character who is only God tier with perfect execution when other characters available provide just as much for considerably less effort.
Look at Duc and his Spiral as an example. Duc has shown time and again that Spiral can certainly be considered a God tier. Yet the number of people who play Spiral is still pretty low, more so at the highest level.
Based solely on the fact that while she has the capacity to play at that level, not just anyone can pick her up and expect to do well with her, or slap her on any old random team and expect her to perform. As seen in Justin's Spiral ratio videos.
Hey Justin, always watch your videos and like. Your content is great as it is. I don't think you get all the likes you deserve. Maybe mix up the ways you ask people to like, comment, subscribe in each video? People are forgetful, and if something is repetitive, people tend to tune it out. My suggestion would be to be goofy about it, but what do I know. Anyway, loved the video, watched till the end to see you get the infinite x.x Looking forward to the next one.
Hey Justin, just curious what you use for a webcam? After watching for a long time it looks to me like a 2003 Motorola Razr or thereabouts. So if you want to upgrade I got a 1080p Logitech I'm not using and I will send it to you for free. 😉
I wouldn't say anything but the feed, and especially the closeups, has so many artifacts I'm worried Indiana Jones is going to whip in and sweep you away to a museum.

I've watched Justin play a lot of Ken/Akuma and don't understand why with an opportunity like @2:17 or 7:05 he isn't finishing combos with air tatsu which does WAY more damage.
I get that ending it that way allows for some mixups, but there are times when it seems like he should be taking the damage and isn't.
There are plenty of videos where he does this, I honestly think he was just trying to give his opponent a fair chance/didn't want that option to get stale, lol
I always enjoy watching justin wong pull stuff up and somehow fails, but eventually succeeds.

Justin, seeing as you play Ken a lot, I'm wondering if you're aware that Ken has a very simple jumping infinite against Sentinel (and maybe Blackheart?) honestly I'm not sure because I've only done it vs Sent. I am pretty sure it's simply hold up+f, lp, mp, hp, hk, land, repeat. You might need to play with the timing of the button presses. (I am pretty sure this is the correct sequence, despite not having done it in like 12-15 years). Combined with Jugg's Earthquake assist, you could probably catch Sentinel users in this quite easily :-)

Sabertooth was God tier in X-Men vs street fighter in Saturn port.
When people watched they can't do the same,they just dumped him(normal attitude of players who plays with a character and drop him in the next)

Remember that Blackheart Anti Air does damage to his opponent rather on or off screen. (Try glitch off screen and use Blackheart dark Thunder Anti Air)...
That's not low tier tho. Cap assist is god tier, blackheart is god tier too. Only juggernaut is high tier not low.

I think I remember him saying something about not liking the X Factor mechanic of UMVC3 that much. Plus MVC2 is rollback on fightcade so he has more options for who to play with.

As someone whose main character has been Sabretooth the entire life of this game, this was hard to watch! He's good up to really high levels of play, I swear!
