I've been fighting the same problem for 2 years now. today went horrible. no power, made it about 2 miles and she laid over. I was able to "guess"* points gap after about 8 tries. I broke the points mounting screw... thought I was done. found another screw in my boat bag which wasn't even close to pitch but I cut it shorter, and screwed it in enough to hold points gap to get us back to the ramp. fathers day survived. no skiing,, but no walking or swimming the boat either. I knew it was a simple-ish problem, and wanted to go to electronic distributor. you've made my day with the EXACT PROCEDURE I NEED TO FOLLOW. You Sir have saved our camping trip in 2 weeks.! thanks again. --Scott
These videos are really great. It is really hard for me to find anybody to work on my '83 Stars and Stripes, and so I have had to learn to do a lot of things myself. This is so helpful. Thanks!
