Please cancel this stupid show. History channel used to be awesome now it's all weird reality TV. Why don't you make the show after they actually find something. If I want to watch construction I'll just go to work
@@jonathanperry8331 I agree totally
@@jonathanperry8331 and @Jérémy Smith, THC is doing a fine job of balancing history with entertainment. As for Oak Island, we're watching history unfold. If you don't like it, watch something else.
Somebody is wasting a mass amount of funds on this money pit!
@@grimreefer8561 A waste how? By investigating multiple tales of riches, by following increasingly curious clues, and by entertaining millions with this show, are the Laginas and the show's producers doing us a disservice? Of course not. This is not a waste of resources. Dozens are directly employed, many more are indirectly and at least partly supported, and millions are entertained by these endeavors.
We might learn much from what discoveries lie ahead. Meanwhile, some of us enjoy a good mystery, and we enjoy watching parts of the mystery deepen, even as other parts are answered. My 80-year-old mother enjoys the show as one of her favorites. The History Channel canceled the only other TV show we both liked: _Project Blue Book,_ so I'm glad we still have this show to watch -- together, occasionally -- and to talk about.
looks like a counter weight for measuring precious metals on a scale
My thoughts too.
Yep, the '5' is probably the unit of measure (grams, ounces, etc.)
Good call
I thought blasting plug but that makes way more sense
I thought weight too, or maybe a stamp for pressing hot wax to seal letters etc... but a weight I lean more toward LoL
I really don’t care that this show has dragged on for seven years. I really don’t care if they find anything. Creating an accurate historical timeline of everything that has taken place on that little island is worth its weight in gold.
Has it been on for 7 years??? 😅
Would be even cooler if marty slapped Craig tester right in the mouth.
id suggest 2 islands originally
Seven years already? Wow, time flies.
@Derek Jackson ok then maybe have Craig tester slap Doug in the mouth.
I wonder who is coming in at night and hiding all this strange stuff. This series could go on for 40 years.
Fly by @ night with the drone loaded with trinkets from ebay... Probably been doing midnight bombing runs for years..
I known
It is called archeology
After all the work done in the Swamp, and on Oak Island, there is no way there is just one moneypit of treasure waiting to be found, and i hope the fellowship find several moneypit sites on Oak Island.
I can't wait for season 9.
I love these guys. Especially Gary. His accent just kills me!
I just watch the last episode of each season, one item found seems to be the focus for the whole entire season. Watching paint dry is more exciting
Love following this story. I just wonder, have you ever considered using the ground freezing technique to isolate the ground water for drill/dig?
Whether they find treasure or not I like the idea of them at least wanting to no for sure if there something still there I see it as finding out history more in depth.
10-4. Been watching since beginning. Get goose bumps every time i watch. I hope they hit the mother load before long.
All The Best In Finding Loads Of Treasure's Very Soon.
I love this program.
Each episode makes you sit on the edge waiting to see what will happen next 😊
Any chance of off season reviews and details of the discoveries, charts and testing? Maps and close look at artifacts with updated information?
I have also been fascinated by Oak Island for as long as the Lagina brothers. They have been making some interesting finds all over the island and surrounding water. Whether or not they find the money pit, they have already found treasure.
Imagine their surprise when they realize they've been digging in an abandoned trash pit all this time...
What do you think Archeology is? Digging up somebody else’s trash from hundreds or thousands of years ago! 🥸
@@juliemitchell6561 Drew is trolling, its best not to respond to people like him.
I don't know why but in my experience at least 80% of all the comments on this channel seem to be the stupidest people on all of RUclips.
It's very strange they all wind up here.
A congregation of twits if you will.
They're finding stuff.
@Derek Jackson A ship junkyard
🤭😆
Cue The Announcer: "A metal weight?...On Oak Island? Could this be the weight used by the Templars to build the treasure vault?...Or, was it used by the ancient aliens for some other purpose? Templar Historians and Ancient Alien Theorists say yes."
Love you all you all will do it this year. I can't wait
😭😭😭 Ricks speech 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 can’t wait for next season! Great work men and women ❤️❤️❤️
😂what a worthless show
@@intermodus2180 not respecting someone's opinion 😂😂😂
@@majestikmse8862 who's not respecting my opinion ⁉️
The last episode of the seasonal was yesterday. When does the new season start?
very exciting to watch and full of thrill....
Prayers for safety and this will be the year.
Is everything the narrator says in question form? Will they ever stop dragging things out for content?
NO THEY WILL NOT????????
History Channel. Same guy from the aliens program.
This had to be what the Templars used as a counter weight for the all treasure's they brought over.
Iys definitely not a piece of cut hot roll steel that could of been used by one of the 400 other individuals who have stabbed a shovel into the island. It would be crazy to think that.
Looks like a roller out of a bearing.
I love this show , the brothers , and all the members there. I can't wait for season nine !😀😀❤❤❤
I think the road leads to the dump, where all the dirt and broken stuff from the tunnels and caves were haul to, it had to go somewhere, so it helped to bury the ship also...🤔
Sounds plausible, back in the day they saw the harbor was filling in with organics, silt ect, so they turned it into a bug dump.
I saw like that thing before when i was little, i just cant remember what was it since i was at young age and was not thinking and asking for any clue to my elders.
That is used to measure weights in earlier times. Hope this information might help you. Might be gold be weighted by using this weight. 👍
When my dad was in the U.S.A he would go digging all the time. he is now in Mexico, and 79. Does not do much digging now.
That's a die for stamping coins.
It looks like a weight to weigh on a scale of equal weight, like gold or silver etc.
Did you hear the collective sigh when they both kneeled back down
I love how these guys went from an amateurish dig operation to a full-on professional archaeological expedition. This is how science works. Very amazing show. Id love to participate in something like this.
I am still waiting for the full episode on youtube again!i have bought the 8th season and every week you guys deliver the episode days or weeks late... I won't ever buy the show again thats it!
I know a lot of people that are saying that you are milking this serie... i know its impossible for them to conclude the research... but you know whats possible in 2021 providing the service i am paying for!
It looked like a old bearing spacer kinda like what they used on a windmill head.
THAT LOOKS LIKE AN OLD STAMP.
The Rarest find of all on Oak Island...Dirt on Gary Drayton's hands...or even more rare...His Safety Vest
man I hope these guys hit it some day, their finding junk, feel bad for them.
Man they are getting close to Tom Nolan's house. Now are they going to have to build a new road to the money pit if they are going to be ripping the road up in front of the swamp.
Are they sure that thing's a road and not just an old stream bed?
They used to seal letters with a wax seal. I wonder if the marking on the end of that was for that?
Scale weight old style scale pans hanging on each side of the pivot point.
The 5 instead of V tells me newer, and speaks of weighing withdrawals.
I would lean towards a scale ⚖️ weight. The question is who manufacturer was.
I wish they just did a better archeological excavation of the entire island, that's the true treasure.
This. At what point does the government step in and declare it a historical site and start sending in their own archeologist.
@@outshiner665 they’d have to believe something of value was there for them to do that 😂
and the search continues
Curse of Oak Island meets Time Team!
The round metal object with the number 5 I believe is from a weight scale
Who likes to hear Gary say Button ?
Or; "met-ull" & "pooterr"!
Gary, you mean mister top pocket find?
That looks like a weight from a set of scales.
Around around cylindrical item looks like a coin punch
GOLD
if they found GOLD
that would be strange.
I wish I had a treasure chest full of gold. I would take it and bury it on Oak Island. Then they would finally find something after 8 seasons and this show would finally end.
That could be a die to make coins 🤔🤔🤔
Your next treasure hunt? Astronaut Neil Armstrong looked for the Metal Library made of gold left by a very ancient civilization. Legend has it that a metal library, containing valuable plates of inscriptions, recording an ancient history of some 250 000 years ago, written by an advanced previous civilization, is hidden in the Tayos Caves , in the Amazon forest of the Morona Santiago province, Ecuador.
Problably a weight for a scale, similar to a tripplebeam
I like rick, he's the only one of the brothers that don't mind getting dirty.
He has a lot invested... He truly wants to see the end of this saga before he pulls up stumps.
Yeah, but he cries every three seconds.
He is definitely more grounded. Lol!
They aren't competing like you lot of clowns. He is actually looking out for his brother as Marty has had health problems in the past.
@@PostPatriot1978 do you feel better now? Has your ego, sense of self worth, and superiority complex been adequately fed? Do you feel all heroic, and full of pride? I hope so! Rick, and Marty are both awesome in their own way. The only post that I have seen, that was in any way disrespectful to anyone was yours. Nothing you said even had any relevance to the previous posts. You presented your own false narritave, and changed the context of our posts to fit it. You might actually like their show. If you ever took the time to actually watch it. It is really good. You should really watch this video , at least, since you decided to post a comment under it.
Me encanta, pero me gustaría en español. Gracias
Defiantly a Bobby dazzler
I've been wondering when are they going to find that darn treasure?
There is no real treasure, if there ever was it was looted a long time ago. The real treasure is the millions they are making off the tv show...
@@muddywaters1934 Narrator: the real treasure? Tv show? Could it be...
Strangest thing discovered on this show was the script for the next season.
Not so strange...it's the same as every previous season. I can't wait for next season!
I guess a scripted show with scripted finds can let others live their dreams through TV.
Cant hate that. Do get a metal detector and be active.
YOu know long before the series shows that they find the treasure, it will be headline news in real time before the series is aired showing the find. Im at a point where i say "" alright
Already !! Ots been , what, 10 years. !!!""
looks like an assayers weight or a seal for waxed letters
In the new season Oak Island sinks because of all of the holes in it.
Always
I thought it look like one of those weights that go on the other side of the scale to measure gold or whatever they find. But an old one. Someone knows what that is.
You would think the History channel would do an episode on something that is useful and a part of History.
It is a mass for a scale to weight out gold
Kind of looks like somebody was getting paid for things they unloaded off of ship.
Have they thought about bringing in a psychic medium to the island? Maybe they could offer some answers where there are so many questions to the past.
Dude in the thumbnail looks like he’s about to start The Rumbling with his half-brother
Half-brother ? Who
Yes I love Rick
Isn't that just a scale weight with the weight amount engraved on it?
How many treasure is on that island?
It's the weight from a scale
Oak Island is cursed
Tricorder lol
I stopped watching it about 3 or 4 years ago. Progress was way too slow. But! Ya never know- the world may end up being very very grateful for the slow careful measures the Lagina brothers have taken. Personally- I already know the world renowned treasure they're going to find. They'll get there. Patience is a virtue- just not my preferred virtue. Lol
Its like a 50gram scale weight. ⚖ And Im not even an archeologist.
Can anyone say or explain why a treasure would be buried in a place that recovery was going to be extremely difficult if not impossible by those who put it there.
Great video !

That a true leader
Is it a top pocket find?
Watch Barkhouse hide something that he picks up later and puts in his pocket
2:08 he digs something out and pockets it. Barkhouse is a Templar spy.
Balance weight
It looks like a weight that they use to measure gold or treasure back in the old days
That could be
Look like a Balance weight
hey dudes im not a tresure hunter. but i dont know how high the grownd is behind the swamp. but if its 30 or forty feet higher than it was 200 years ago. and the wave motion washing in rubble since then . my thery is 2 islands with spoils became one. the swamp 200years ago might have been able to park a ship
It's a weight to tare
Imagine if its from people that had lived on earth before a comet crashed into the earth creating our moon.
How does a British metal-detecting guy end up working on Oak Island ?
They need to do that so called BIG DIG and freeze the entire money pit area and swamp
Why would anyone connected to the treasure need to weigh the gold! Were they afraid that whoever they stole the treasure from might try to short change them?
Scale weight
Nice work 🎇🎆✨
Scale-weight
Scale weight?
Its a wax seal your welcome for sealed letters
Wait they are digging by hand? what happened to their tried and true method of drilling large tube into the ground and smashes everything with a giant claw?
