    In last three examples, for 2nd example, positive roots can be 3 or 1 , as theorem gives maximum number of positive roots not exact number

    One must take care of that 'no of +ve or -ve cannot exceed the number of sign change' that's the concept here.
    That is if 'S' is set of all positive roots of f(x)=0 then n(S)≤ no. of sign change. Same for negative roots.
    That's why we have to prove in that problem that the biquadratic eqn has 'atleat' 2 complex roots.

    Sir in equation like f(x) = x² + 4x + 5 . How do I know the roots are positive real or negative by Descartes theorem because there's no change in f(x) or f(-x)

    Sir meri ek query h...
    X³-18x-35=0 ek equation hai...iske roots x=5 , x=(-5+i√3)/2 , x=(-5-i√3)/2 hain....one real root and two complex roots...
    But jab hum Descarte's rule of sign apply kr rhe hein to yeh f(-x) ke liye two negative real roots bta raha h..jabki asliyt m iske pass 2 complex roots hein...plzz sir mere iss doubt ko clear kijiye

    In last example, there will be exactly 2 imaginary roots as imaginary roots always occur in conjugate pair.

    The video was great, but many times the audio didn't match the content.
    Sir kept on saying +, -, + but on the board it was written +,-,-
    Sir also said roots are 5 and -4, but then wrote 5 and -1.
    I know these are very minute mistakes, but they confused me very much.

    I have one doubt.
    If number of postive real root is 2 then does the equation have exactly 2 positive real root or atmost 2 postive real root.
    Please clear this doubt.

    I think no. of positive roots(or negative) will be no of tikes sign changes or less than it by multiples of even no.
