- A lot of you have requested me for making a video on ICAS. So here it is.
ICAS is a saving grace for people who have completed their education from Sikkim Manipal University Distance Learning as this is the only IRCC approved agency that does ECA for SMU Distance learning degrees/diplomas.

I cannot thank you enough for making this video. Me and my wife had been planning to apply for our ECA through IQAS but their per day limit was a bit of a challenge we were fearing. We saw your video today morning and just 15 mins back both of us ended up creating our application forms successfully. Just in a single try. Just left with the payment now as rest is done. @@canadacalling4694 i just need one more confirmation, do we need to apply for duplicate degree copies while applying for transcripts from our respective universities? Or the degree copies we uploaded while filling the form was enough? Could you please clear the air on this one?
@@canadacalling4694 also, im a post graduate in Journalism and Mass Communication from Pune University. It was a proper 2 yr degree course. Will i get masters equivalency on IQAS? Or should i submit my bachelor details too? Please help as i need to make payment today!
@@hiymanshu It should get masters equivalency. If you are not bothered about time so much, you can send the bachelor's. However, it's not required. Go to the IQAS website and download their university recognition pdf. It will help you decide better. Write to me on pal.moumita89@gmail.com if you're stuck anywhere.

Hey, how can we request the university SMU to send the documents directly to ICAS, is there a portal or do we have to contact SMU by an email ?
And how does you see a sealed document in personal doc submission senario.
Hi mam I completed my bsc fashion designing from SMU now they said icas and wes is not evaluating distance education degree and bsc fashion designing degree is not evaluating in
canada. Before 2 months they said yes icas do smu degree evaluation
I am a Masters of Management studies from Mumbai University..When i enter the field for institution there is a pop up notification saying,"Conditional institution status,If you apply to IQAS with credentials from this institution they may or may not be assessed due to recognition." My education :- 10th + 3 years diploma in engineering + 3 years BA + MBA (SMU-DE)
Question :- Do I need to provide documents from my engineering diploma and matriculation ? Or Graduation + MBA documents are enough ?
For polytechnic diploma, I have only final year marksheet and Diploma. Do not have all years marksheet and transcript.

Mam I have done my graduation (BBA) and Post graduation (MBA) from SMU but I need to know whether I have send assesment request for both the degrees or only for MBA.As we know that few agency ex-WES is not consedering MBA as degree.Kindly clarify.

Thank you for the Video, it was really informative, I have a question. I have done MBA from SMU distance and my graduation was from Calicut university. Do I need to do Transcript evaluation for both Graduation or MBA or only the MBA transcripts is fine. Any experience regarding this will be helpful
This is a big confusion in my mind,Moreover while sending our degree to ICAS personally whether we have to send the final marksheet having marks detail of every semester or we have to send marksheet of each semester separately.Kindly through some light on it.

WES will give you bachelor's equivalency. Go for IQAS.

Hi, has anyone able to get their SMU distance degree evaluated by ICAS? As I have tried several times contacting the SMU helpdesk for Transcript request form and they are reverting back that "ICAS is currently not evaluating SMU Distance Degrees". Can someone please help on this.
I too have got the same reply . Infact i also want to know what should be done now if the university is only replying that icas is not evaluating smu distance education .
Are you sure they spoke about ICAS and not IQAS?
Because I have an email from SMU helpdesk that says we must send it to ICAS.

MBA from SMU distance mode in 2008. Will it be evaluated by ICAS? Do they have any criteria about year of passing?
Yes they do. If in the year you enrolled for the course, they were recognised by the the distance education board of India then it will get equivalency for sure.

Hey there. My name wasn't changed but there was an error by the university and they won't change the name now. So i have no change of name documents but i do have a registered affidavit, can that do?
Yes. Affidavit is good enough. There is an option to upload it online

Will ICAS accept my application??
If it's not distance then you can go for IQAS. It will be better and faster.

And if you can then please tell me what is the time duration for IQAS to certify my documents.
For one credential/degree, IQAS takes about 14 weeks. For each extra credential, 4 more weeks get added.
The FSW draws will only start happening once travel restrictions are uplifted. But that's only my opinion
