- "CBS Exclusive:" Maggie Rodriguez spoke with Angela Suleman, the grandmother of the now-famous octuplets about the children's biological father and plastic surgery rumors surrounding her daughter.
8 years later and now look how God had provided. Kids are smart, healthy, responsible and thriving, and Nydia has seen the the impact of having 14 children. @@kiamaz254 in a more recent interview octomom herself repeated more than once that she was very irresponsible back then and was not thinking clearly . I feel very sorry for the grandparents... being put in a position to have to give up their own money ,time and resources to someone who deliberately and artificially had themselves inseminated because they wanted kids they could not afford . They originally probably thought they were going to have normal grandparent experiences... where they see the grandchildren when they want and sometimes have them sleepover ... instead of feeling like 14 kids were forced on them in their old age.... I will never forget the face of Octomom's dad.... that poor old guy looked devastated and exhausted.... and like he had the weight of the world on his shoulders .

Yea she was in her early 20s probably hasn’t been adult yet at all. And then she got pregnant some more. I think her mother is very angry with her rebelling but mother is probably too strict why she become like this
She had 8 babies, so what? I think its a miracle, and they turned out to be beautiful and loving kids. Nadya is amazing.

@MsSarcia Bless her - I hope she did receive money for her interviews. This is a woman in her 60's or 70's who was supporting her daughter (in her 30's no less) and her six grandchildren. Nadya had no compassion or consideration for her parents. They should be retired & able to enjoy their grandchildren - not have to suffer foreclosure and upheaval & bankruptcy because Nadya decided to keep popping out babies. She can have as many as she wants, as long as she can support them herself.
She had children. People are mad because she didn't get abortions. Good for her. God will provide for her. I personally think it was the wrong choice but she did it and she has 14 angels.

What? Mad that she didn't abort? What a dumb thing to say. I don't think people are mad that she kept them but more so about the fact that she went through with IVF in the first place despite already struggling with 6 kids. Not to mention all the money she spent on plastic surgery and being on welfare. Taxpayers money goes to this woman and it was irresponsible on her part to have so many kids deliberately. Personally I don't really care ..I don't really like the woman but her story is interesting. Hopefully her kids turn out alright as adults Time will tell.

Actually I do see a loving person who is gracious and hasn't lost her sense of humor... you're seeing an older woman who is having to give up her own money and resources to support someone who has been Way Beyond irresponsible . Did you ever look at Octomom's dad... that poor man looks crushed , absolutely destroyed like he has the weight of the world on his shoulders .
I'd like to see how happy you would look if one of your own kids who has no spouse decides to have six kids and then decides to run back for one more as if you're buying another pair of shoes.... it would have been bad enough if she had seven kids but then that turned into 14.... you accuse the grandmother of being cold.... are you kidding ?
And yet, today 2023, look at what a magnificent job she's done with her love for her children. They're healthily fed, in good health, 14 yrs old, starting 7th grade with already a good cognitive and agel appropriate critical thinking skills. 👍🏽
She has a mental illness the dr had a ethical job to do i think he failed and it is criminal actions in my mind the grandparents should have sued the dr that he was greedy and should have denied her and sent her to therapy, this woman put herself through way too much

i mean she already has 6 and its already stressful enough i realize she has spine issues but i feel that her life is going down hill
and i think there should be a law for a limited amount of embryos that u can transplant but i sorta understand her with her obsession but shes gone overboard i mean she should just go into welfare for now until she think straight again

10 years later and she is still on food stamps. She has recieved close to 200k in food assistance from the government. She gets 1500 a month to feed them all.... If YOU cant provide basic necessities for you kids like food, shelter, and clothing then you should not have them.
Another thing is she said it cost $4,000 a month to feed her family... that number sounds High to me

The grandmother is cold and numb about it. I understand it’s a crazy situation, but you have to display love and gratitude to the gift of healthy playful grandchildren you have. Who are you to worry about those babies while they have a god who promised to provide. Is that what you want for your grandchildren to see you talking about when there’re old enough to understand?
God is good all the time. The children are 10 years old healthy happy and polite. This gran mother before she died praised her daughter and was so thankful for all 14 babies in the end. So much hate just for a mother I see humans but no humanity. Nadia you are amazing I have 7 children and it's a struggle but us mum's do what we have to

his job is not to implant 6 embroys and risk the health of the babies and the patient - it is very hard for an anything an adult child does is hard for the parent to stop - why can tshe have children the regular route what does that mean ??

I came from a family of 7 kids... it was not as much fun as some people might think.... a friend of mine had seven kids... a lot of problems in that family where all the kids had to see shrinks .
If you're going to have a big family ..do one thing first : make sure that you don't have to ever worry about money first . And if you can't afford to live a really good life and give your kids a really good life because of money problems and don't have a big family . There's not a lot of fun growing up in a big poor family . People who say money doesn't matter don't know what they're talkin about . Poverty creates all kinds of problems . Why anyone would want to have a big family is beyond me... but hey to each his own... have fun never having any free time to yourself and waking up in the middle of the night one day when you realize this is your nightmare for God knows how many more years before all your kids are grown up .

I do think the doc and the sperm donor have some blame in it now that so many children has been born.i know its a chance u take when u have the procedure,but if she suffers from complusive disorder then i think the people involved have some blame. The sperm donor and doc should have refused, but hey its easy saying that now.

I don't understand that welfare would be giving her any money at all. It should be his responsibility to pay. It doesn't make any sense.
