Wonderful sound❤
That little bit of tremolo at the end of some well-selected notes adds so much to this piece and elevates it from "just another bassoon piece transcripted" into high art and beauty. Bravo!
Thank you so much!
Beautiful sound and excellent performance!
Thank you so much!
A beautiful sound, and I discover this lovely piece with this video.
Bellissimo suono..molto bravo!!!
Very nice tone..
Thank you!
@@StompboxClarinetist Such a pure and warm sound! I know many modern basset horns are made with a bore similar to alto clarinets but basset horn still has something special in the sound.
@@StompboxClarinetist Is that a Buffet Prestige?
It is! I love the sound of the Buffet bassets in particular, they're a nice combination of the power/projection of the larger bore instruments and the warmth of the smaller bore ones.
Beautiful sound. Vandoren mouthpiece?
Thanks! Yeah, it’s a B40
@@StompboxClarinetist nice, I'm on a BD5 atm but use it on my alto clarinet. I wish I had a basset horn!
@@musokid89 Nice! How do you like the BD5? I haven't had the opportunity to try one yet.
@@StompboxClarinetist simply put it's the best alto mouthpiece I've tried so far. It's slightly more open than the B40, sweetish sound. Kinda want something with a bit more oomph though. Might try the Fobes 10K next!
My mouthpiece is a Backun MoBa (for basset horn) it’s got a large baffle and medium open tip. I use vandoren #3 and I scrape the rails for a tight fit. It’s a big sound if that’s what you’re looking for.
