Ha! After four times watching this I decided to play it out by ear. Then decided to go see if someone did this as a cello cover. I think you got it, I do slur into the opening melody. I work through the interlude a little. I’m thankful you did this. As I was sure that Wang Yi Bo’s voice is as soft as our muted notes and Xian Zhan’s are clear and strong as open strings! I also worked out a few songs off the soundtracks for Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms, Three lives three worlds, the pillow book, a couple songs off Ashes of Love (unsullied, and Upwards to the moon) and two songs of The Rise of the Phoenixes. I watched TMOPB and the pillow book twice... I’m scared to watch the rise of the Phoenixes again, I cried for days and days... my cello is like my closest companion who works through feelings with me. It feels like a spiritual being lol. I considered naming it “Suíbiàn” anyway, I can’t seem to move past watching this particular series. I just love them and I love this song. Thank you for sharing. Happy playing. Cello has always been a divine instrument.
Totally agree that cello is a divine instrument! I love the warmth tone and how it can reach pretty high notes but with that warm timbre. Wow you have learnt a lot of songs and have watched a lot of series! Glad you found solace in your "suibian" ;) Let's keep on practicing this wonderful instrument!
