I have a question i have the SOUNDCRAFT 22MTK USB MIXER and just got the PRESONUS STUDIOLIVE SERIES III - 32SX for my home studio setup - the main reason is I’m trying to start to use a DAW for the first time (since I’m old school and have lots of outboard rack gear) I’m thinking maybe i can have a “HYBRID” setup or i could use my SOUNDCRAFT 22MTK board as a sub-mixer maybe to have my effects inputs and aux effects and then feed them into my STUDIOLIVE?? Or couldn’t i just use a Patchbay and route my effects through it and then create a sort of loop aux send ? Of course it would be limited to 1 channel at a time but at least i can then send it to the DAW and record it with this DBX - YAMAHA SPX-90-II’s and my other effects?? Idk if I’m making any sense but maybe someone can chime in here and let me know if this is possible??

I want to connect 4 monitors on stage. How do I connect them and control the volume? Looks like I can set the channels and mix but how do I control the gain?
Hi Rob, there are 16 outputs that can either be Auxes or Subgroups. Their output can be controlled via their own two layers on the 8 Faders located on the right side of the console. He hits on it real quick at about 13:13 in the video. Thanks for watching!
Controlling other DAWS such as Cakwalk X3, If it wasn't tested, Can you find out? What setting needs to be setup. I Preferr Cakewalk not studio One.
We have not tried it with other software. I am told that SOME
aspects of Cakewalk work in DAW mode, as well as Logic(MCU) and Protools(HUI). The
only 100% functional software for the StudioLive is still Studio One and
Studio One Pro.

Absolutely!
The StudioLive32 has been replaced by the 32S but it has the same number of XLR inputs and outputs.

Can this series of mixers in DAW mode be used as a control surface for
other DAWs? And also can DAW mode use the touch sensitive faders to
write automation with other DAWs?...If it does have that ability, a list
of compatible DAWs would be great to share if you could. Thanks.

The StudioLive 32 has 4 effects engines that you can use simultaneously, if that's what your asking.
Recardo, can this mixer be used with Cubase? I have Studio One and I am learning it pretty fast but I really know Cubase!

Do you mean the new StudioLive 32SX?
If so it is more compact, with 16+1+8 physical faders vs. 24+1+8 on the series III. Also a processor upgrade and the new FlexDSP engine. Which will also be available as an update to current Series III users.

The unfortunate person who designed this forgot the inserts. Horrible. It looks like a video game or it looks like a toy that does everything. Series II (AI) offers more serious features
No inserts per channel!!! No Auxiliar Returns!!! Arghhhh!!! Terrible. Locks like a videogame console. I prefer my StudioLive 32.4.2 AI.
Some ppl don't need all that,or what to keep using old dinosaur ass equipment
@@225maine Some people like to be fooled by the industry that removes important professional resources and sell video games to helpless kids. This console has no insert connections per channel and has no ruturn connections, making it useless for "out of the box" mixing. It is just a beautiful control surface. For this reason (and not for lack of money) I will never trade my 32.4.2 there for this garbage full of lights.
@@johnnybrit804 again it's not for everyone,and most ppl wouldn't even pay the extra money they would charge for adding that...hell the majority of ppl can't afford it now. Plus there is always work arounds like anything else. I use digital mixers,i have this one as well as a tascam dm4800, and a soundcraft gb4 40 channel analogue board...the situation determines what i end up using..if it's up to myself I'd use the digital mixer and the analogue for summing. But that's just me.
@@225maine Dear happy owner of a Presonus 32 control surface. This product can be good for some people and it can be bad for others. Okay, that’s a fact. And those who buy this product want this product and have money for this product. This does not change a fact against which there are no arguments ... Presonus put this all in one video game in place of the 32.4.2 ai model. This beautiful toy is "Serie III". This series 3 came with some implementations, such as a big screen and dancing faders .. ohhhh !!!! how sweet!!! Against facts there are no arguments. The fact is that this control surface has no insert connections and also has no returns for external effects. For this reason, this product intended for the kids' room could not replace 32.4.2AI because not all people are "in the box". Some people use real things and don't live in a fantasy world. Presonus should continue Serie II or perfect it instead of saying that this new toy is a natural continuation.
@@johnnybrit804 lol..yes i am a happy owner...i also have 16 500 series modules, a few api and ssl modules...lindell, and a few other's,so i understand what you're saying. What doesn't work for you may work for other's no doubt about that. I've been doing this for 21 yrs + yrs now. I'm not against being in the box most of the time,and i actually love mixing analogue style..to be honest i prefer a hybrid setup before anything else. You're happy with your board, let other's be happy with theirs.
Stop hard sell, we are not impressed.
This product has no inserts per channel. There is no WiFi. There are no returns for external effects. Version II has console features. Version III is just a cute control surface.
