Thanks Dave - it’s a nice walk, quite hard going along the hilly Wall section. That barn was perfectly placed but glad the farmer was out of the way! Cheers…
Great work! I did it in 6 days too, same direction on August 23rd... with bad shoes. The first day I went from Bowness to Hadrian's studioes. So the rest of the trip was pain, but great experience. Lost 4 toenails :) Definitely going back.
Ah well done for persevering despite the foot issues. I always use trail shoes these days and rub my feet with Vaseline at the start of each day. All the best - Thanks for watching
Great video thanks for posting it. I’m setting off off on my crossing (west to east as you did) on Tuesday. Looks like it might be wet all week. I think it will be about half one when I arrive at the start, so won’t be able to do much mileage on day 1. My camp stops will be out of sync with your as a result. Are there any issues with midges I should plan for?
Hi Stu - so sorry for the delayed response. I don’t think midges will be too much of a problem this time of year. More likely towards the end of May onwards. Hoping the trip went (is going well) for you
Hi Justin - thanks for your comment. The Solway is my home patch and we thought it was about time to have a go at the HWP. See you have some very interesting walking videos which we look forward to seeing…Subbed as well. Cheers
I watched your Hadrian's Wall videos before I walked mine in August. Fantastic trip, but unfortunately I underestimated my shoes. I actually thought about you sometimes when I was walking. Very refreshing videos. Thank you for the experience
Great summer weather 🌤🌦🌧🌞
Absolutely! - short of snow/hail, we had plenty of everything else 👍 Cheers..
Typical British weather , handy finding that barn at the right time . A cracking hike and camp trip. atb Dave

Fantastic thankyou Andrew
Ah, Thanks Lindsay - it’s a nice walk but the weather was a bit of a ‘challenge’ at times 👍

@@solway17carlisle Don’t worry it’s fine. Yes it’s going well so far thanks, off to Winshields today. Similar weather to your trip.
Well done you two, good trail vid 👍 I did the HWP last year and made my own vids. Had a blast! Subbed 👍 Justin

Thank you. Lots of vids in Cumbria. It wasn't far for you to the start then!
