I had an attempted break-in in January, lost my step father in February buried him in March then had the most beautiful few months throughout lock down was incredible spending time with my husband and our five kids felt like a blessing. Then on the 16th of October my husband had a sudden unexpected heart attack at work and died aged 37. I’m in such shock but I refuse to let this year be seen as some negative year for us because I truly was a blessed. We had so many laughs and so much love in our marriage and in our family and that’s what I am focusing on. Every blessing every moment of happiness every smile. Our perspective is everything. I will never recover from losing my husband he was my soulmate but I can live with the pain knowing how lucky I have been to have had him in our lives. We bury him on the 27th of November. I’m going to do my best to make it as positive experience for my younger boys as possible. It’s the first experience of death we haven’t even lost a pet before. I want them to know love is the strongest energy on Earth and that will be carried forward. 💕

It's a virus. It's everywhere, all over the world. If everyone would just adjust to the fact that we need to let it run its course through the population, we'd be a lot better off. Having hysterics when cases spike but deaths do not is illogical. A new virus needs to spread in order for people to develop immunity and to mutate to a less virulent form, which is the normal course of events.

My ex-fiancé that I was with until this June was literally like this associated with hardcore physical/mental/economical abuse and I had days thinking I’d be murdered by him in his country(France). Under national confinement order in France this spring it was really difficult to escape from him as the border of the country was shut down and his whole family was blaming me for “not loving him/I have a duty to marry him as we once promised” although they knew well that he was violent with me. Adding to the confinement I wasn’t even allowed to get out of the bedroom as he locked the room up everyday. I couldn’t even go to bathroom. He kept telling me he would kill me if I made him upset. I tried to call the police but I didn’t speak French. We lived upstairs his father’s family but they didn’t try to understand what was happening between us. He often told me “So you wanna destroy my life and career by calling the police. What a cruel person”. My phone, credit card and cash were taken, and I was only allowed to talk to my family in Japan by his phone under his supervision(he googled translated all the interactions with my family in order to avoid me confessing his abuse to my family in my mother language). In the end I had a severe head injury this June and he couldn’t help but sending me to the hospital as he was scared to be charged for a murder in the worst case. I was ordered by him to explain that I slipped on the floor by myself but it barely looked like that. There I asked for help to a hospital stuff and they recognised me as a domestic abuse victim. It took a month to finally come home in Japan as him and his family eventually found me and they put me into the mental hospital for a false reason where I was treated like a dog. In the end my family hired two lawyers to help me get out of the hospital and I was sent back home this July. I learnt well enough that my country’s embassy is never able to help unless I was “actually involved in a crime”, and the lawyers broke a promise that they’d file a complaint to police over the incident. Still I feel it’s miracle that I survived from that hell and am staying with my family happily. I can’t appreciate them more. I understand it’s been a hard year for everybody, somehow it encourages me that I’m gunna get over it like others do.

I didn’t see his true personality until I got into a relationship with him neither just as others didn’t. From what I researched through back in my country, he is probably a covert narcissist that people cannot unveil his true self unless you get close enough to the person like I did.

Stock your fridge and pantry with the healthiest foods that you love. And find enriching hobbies that you enjoy and immerse yourself in them. There are lots of free online learning possibilities, such as new cooking skills, learning new languages, exercise and fitness videos, crafting, knitting or crochet, gardening as you mentioned, even free university classes. not exaggerating, that's literally my life of 2020. One whole year stuck at home, grateful i have home and something to eat. However, lost my job, gained weight and addicted to youtube, internet. How am i gonna get back on traaaaaack?

First, make sure you wake up and go to bed at the same time every day. Set your wake up time as early as you comfortably can, and build a morning routine. Here are some ideas to implement: meditating, reading, writing, doing stretches, working out, eating a good breakfast, going outside, drawing, showering, watering plants, doing the dishes, or just anything you'd like. Make sure to start your routine small with just 1 thing at the time, and keep doing that 1 thing for a couple of days or weeks before you add the next one. Also aim to go outside for a walk every day. Hope this helps!

I was starting to gain weight and get depressed and anxious, too, until I started walking daily in July and cut out high carb junk food that I was using for comfort in the early lockdown period. Since then I've lost 15lbs and feel much better, less anxious, stronger, elevated mood, more energy. I would just add to avoid buying unhealthy food. If it's around, I'll eat it. Stock your fridge and pantry with the healthiest foods that you love. And find enriching hobbies that you enjoy and immerse yourself in them. There are lots of free online learning possibilities, such as new cooking skills, learning new languages, exercise and fitness videos, crafting, knitting or crochet, gardening as you mentioned, even free university classes. Try to make the best of it and develop healthy routines. It takes some discipline, self-motivation, and effort, but it's very worth it to get and keep your mind and body on track
