These mallets are just crazy cheap... anyway, thanks again to Jet Percussion for sending me these! I love seeing greater access to marimba and percussion in general, and having a lower price of entry really helps with that :) Also, on a more serious note, please stay safe and take care in the next few weeks as we all battle the craziness that's happening around the world right now (and thoughts go out to those affected by the recent WGI cancellation!). Anyway, we will fight together in these next few months! #TheStudioFamily
These mallets might be really good for me lol, especially the length since my arms are kinda short. I might even get a pair to use at state because my Vic Firths are wearing out and plus the sound quality is similar to those in my Vic Firths
I love the prices for the mallets, so good, I am literally just learning how to play four mallets on marimba, these are great to buy, thank you Adam for reviewing the mallets, I might buy them in the future.♥️
Try smith mallets, they are even more affordable and i honestly love them, they have lasted me through 2 marching, indoor, and concert seasons and they are amazing, i have the hemp series and ensenble series and they are great, i have a full series of both for marimba and vibes and also have 2 pairs of timpani mallets and cymbal mallets, swizzle sticks, and chip sticks and roller mallets full set of unwound series xylo and bell and full field series
And when i called to ask about them i talked directly to robb smith and the service was great, if i could afford some more, id buy bore but i am slicked back on a budget
I got my balter basics marimba mallets for $17 a pair. Wish I would have gotten different mallets like these those, they work and sound fine, I just wish I had different ones sometimes
Some of my friends are really good at it and they can turn out really well! But they say it's usually the hardware (core and shaft) that make it difficult, unless you already have some good unwound ones :)

Yee
Now we just need to make the marimbas themselves cheap.
Oh yes, if only 😯

Nice to see the brand I asked for 2 ish years ago has gotten reviewed by you. Glad you liked them, I thought they were pretty good

I feel you, I had the red BBs for aaaaages
These videos always cheer me up. Except today because wgi got canceled
A new 4.3 solo! I cannot wait to hear it, its going to be awesome!
New 4.3 piece? Very nice so far! :D
Great vid 👍👍👍👍👍👍
I might actually get a pair or two as practice mallets! My current IP 240 mallets are starting to seriously fray and fall apart
I have to say, I think these feel better built than the IP240s 😆
Hey Adam, consider giving Blue Haus mallets a shot - completely customizable and they run for about $32 USD/pair
thank you letting me know about this, im not adam, but now im going to have more mallets
Yeah I could afford these! Except my middle school only has a 3 octave xylophone. Could I use it on that?
Haha you might be able to get away with the harder ones!
Ok good
$92 for 3 sets of 4 mallets. Soft Med hard.
thats super nice.
It's a really good deal for sure 😁
Do they sell a graduated set? That would be a good price to get a graduated set and it not be like 100$
It's cheap enough to just buy 3 models and mix and match to your liking! I'd probably buy 1, 2 and 4 😁
Any advice for preventing ur sticks from clicking while playing marimba with four sticks?
Tape them to absorb the clicks 😁
i hope i get marimba and vibe mallets as a graduation gift
Me too!!
What are your thoughts on wrapping your own mallets?

Great, thanks!
I used these for my juries back in November 😂
Can these mallets be used on a vibraphone? I like a softer melodic sound from my vibraphone.
Possibly! They might be a bit long though 😅
@@AdamTanPercussion Thank you for taking your valuable time to reply to my request.
They actually make vibe mallets
8:30 lmao!!
was this video sponsored?
Nope haha, I think I accidentally cut my disclosure from the video LOL
"getting more people onto marimba" Yeah, I am sure, the real pricetag of marimba isnt in 2 sets of mallets.
It's not, but you can get into marimba without owning one yourself for quite a while! I got into it for several years without ever owning one haha
:D
