The Box design is rather unusual. I see bar type lifters. When do you prefer bar type over round pin/post type lifters ( I see them in many progressive dies videos)? Your videos are always well-shot. They offer opportunities to learn construction and design for learners like me. How long does it approximately take to build a tool of this type?
Yes, we like to use the bar type lifters if there is enough room. The bar type lifters, when they are on the edge of the strip, also allow us to add a top lip to capture the strip in a small slot (the strip rides in the small slot milled down the length of the bar lifter). This tool took 12-14 weeks to design, build, and get a part off the tool that was within part print specs. Thanks for commenting!
