I have the baseline razr 2024 and I use the front screen 75% of the time...essentially how you describe, as a dumb phone for messaging, calls, notifications, podcasts/audiobooks and camera. I only open and use the inside screen when I'm intentionally posting content or writing longer form stuff. It's been amazing so far, my impulse to doom scroll/get caught in the swipe cycle is waaaaaay down. I need to have access to a smart phone for family/work but this is exactly the almost minimalist balance I was looking for. Also love all the photography possibilities of the form factor and find the cameras perfectly adequate with a little touch up in post.

That is fantastic, dude! Thanks for sharing this. I'm glad you have found a way to use it both as a digital tool set and an entertainment/work device as well. That's dope.

Do you think the extra screen on the plus would make that much of a difference vs having the bezel strip above it on the regular model?

My favorite unexpected part of this phone is the raised bezels around the internal screen. Obviously they are there to protect the screen when the phone folds closed, but it has the unexpected bonus of saving me from accidentally inputting with the ball of my thumb, an issue I'd sometimes encounter on my previous phone. My least favorite unexpected part of this phone is how I usually touch the fingerprint sensor when pocketing it, unlocking the phone and turning the screen on after I'm done using it.

I bought this phone because I wanted something smaller. I neglected to consider that, while it would be smaller than my old phone while closed, it would still be about 91% of the weight of my old phone. So if you are considering a foldable phone to reduce 'pinky fatigue' it may actually make it worse since your other fingers can help brace a regular phone whereas it can be very tempting to support the razr almost entirely with your pinky.

I left Apple after being on it since the iPhone 5, l got the Motorola Edge and I don’t miss Apple at all its the freedom you get when using Android everything you can use and you don’t feel locked down the App Store. Google Play is a lifesaver especially when purchasing stuff. I can use my T-Mobile phone number as a wallet and bill certain subscriptions straight to my carrier instead of App Store 😊 Been looking into the Razr+ last time I had a Razr was 18 years ago in High School the outer screen was barely a thing back then and you only had 1 button at a time texting 😂 Great times!

I just picked up a used Fold4 for a little over $450--ish, and I'm loving that as a laptop replacement (with a folding keyboard and witsy $3 pocket stand); I was thinking Flip5+VitureOne, but figured it wasn't as comfortably pocketable a solution, and the only reason I was considering a Flip over a Razr (Motorola is my favorite phone manufacturer) was Display Port over USB-C.
It also occurs to me that the Flip's and Razr's form factor's only real advantage is that they might be more comfortable in your pocket and you might sometimes avoid opening your full suite of apps if you have screen addiction... Is that worth it for a consumer where this is their main device? Probably not. But if you already use a laptop, or you spend most of your time around some other screen and don't really use your phone when you go out then maybe so.

Nice! Thanks for this. Im completely new to the android market as a whole so it's cool to see how versatile they can be! Glad you found a system that works well for you!
