To people debating the legitimacy of this song versus the one by Girls Generation: Kesha writes songs for a lot of pop artists. She writes more than she sings. She‘s written multiple hits for Britney, Ariana, Demi, Gaga, Jonas Bros, Bieber, Pitbull, and a ton of other chart-toppers. :) This song is a demo, because it’s just Kesha’s cover of a song she wrote for another band/artist. That being said, it was written down and composed in English, in a plainly American studio in Los Angeles, California - not Korea - and it was recorded this way long before it was transcribed into Korean. Girls Generation had to hear it to purchase the rights. The Korean lyrics didn’t exist prior to the purchase of the rights. That doesn’t mean this is the actual “original” song. It’s a preview for marketing purposes. Kesha is a lot of things, but she isn’t fluent in Korean and the song doesn’t read as a Korean to American English translation. It’s the other way around. It’s likely she put a price on this demo and the song was purchased by Girls Generation after they heard it in English. That’s how it usually works with international translations. I would wager GG requested permission to record a Korean version of this song. THAT is counted as the official release of Kesha’s song, NOT her own recording - but these ARE the original lyrics.
