My dad went to see him live and he also got a autograph from bowie now that autograph hangs on my wall in my bedroom! And whenever I look at it it reminds me of this music video because it was the one he saw live R.I.P. Bowie ❤
The audience seems dead ... I would have been jumping six foot high! That said, why isn't there dancers or some backup singer or something players ... The song is so good. Bowie shouldn't have to be working so hard ...
I suddenly had that song stuck in my head after not having listened to it for 20 years, I guess? Loved that song as a kid, David Bowie will never be forgotten 🤘
Bowie, the chameleon, doing some kind of "Jungle/Drum and Bass" music...Bought the album on a special offer not long after it was released, and it remains one of Bowie's best opus in his 45 years discography...
One of my most favourite songs in Bowies massive catalog of songs and shows his remarkable talent, I often find this song to be overlooked at just how amazing it is!
I saw this performed on some Late Night show in the mid 90’s (maybe SNL) when I was in my young teens and became an instant David Bowie fan. Went and bought Earthling soon after.
The songs/music he was trying to mimic had passed him by & he was trying to catch up. You can't stay young forever , great song probably better than what he was trying to emulate. Good night David Bowie ( Buddha of suburbia is a classic )
Well, I'm sure he happened to like Drum 'n Bass / Jungle as he mentions it the earthling interview. But the genre isn't for everyone. A lot of his work involved taking trends and attempting to master them so my guess is he enjoyed it as a sort of challenge. I'm a fan of Jungle music and I very much enjoy how he managed to give his on twist to the genre like he has done to other genres in the past.
Brilliant Bowie...
Crazing hearing Bowie embrace Jungle music.
'Amen break' for life!
Damn this one kicks serious ass...Bowie could knock out killer rockers left and right, the world continues to be a lil sadder without him in it. :(
One of my favourite Bowie looks - he looks marvellous

god this era is CRIMINALLY UNDERRATED. so kickass
Couldn't agree more.
Ditto 👍

I was 16 when the song dropped
He was 20 years forward
As a 14 year old this song is what got me into Bowie!!!! Great memories!
When I was 14 this also got me into Bowie!!!
Same! i was just a little younger but this was cool.
Same!
Around the same age it was "Suffragette City" for me!
Always gorgeous, dynamic, always new, genius never doubted... look at him at 50!!! The world seemed to miss this one though... hidden gem of a period
Esta cancion me hace sentir feliz 🌟🌞🌟
Even Bowie's mid-life crisis is epic!!
This is such an underrated comment
I think his mid-life crisis was with Tin Machine. Here he had overcome it already without caring anymore for the critics. lol
More a mid-life triumph!
I suddenly had that song stuck in my head after not having listened to it for 20 years, I guess? Loved that song as a kid, David Bowie will never be forgotten 🤘
Same! It's so mad hearing David Bowie do jungle music.
Captain Bowie
I can't imagine someone without a British accent singing this. It's practically part of the instrumental requirements.
He's not so British in his singing really: Damon Albarn or Syd Barrett are a lot more into this thing
@@АрсенийЧемырысТВ Yeah Damon Albarn maybe. Good call
Li'el wonda
@@amirghorbani5449 Also the way he pronunces the word "away" in the "so far away" part.
i love how this starts out as a jungle drum and bass tune and turns into straight rock and roll at the end. such a great hidden gem in bowies opus.
My favorite Bowie song.
That's Industrial Rock Folks!

Tenía 20 y pocos años cuando escuchaba esta canción. Qué de tiempo... Grande Bowie.
Sabes que este tipo de música estilo alternativo caracterizada por varias bandas al final de los años 90.
Jesus. Saw this tonight on bbc2 Glasto 2000 full set. Absolutely BELTING!!!!! what a tune. The man can do no wrong. 😎👊🏼🤘🏼
I hope anyone who ever saw him perform onstage realise how lucky they are to witness history being made..
The coolest mf to ever live.
Bowie and Freddie for sure
@@kazmosis5326 yes nobody else can match them

I know you can hear us all david .We love you and miss your presence with us all.
R.i.p David Bowie the great chameleon of Rock

Spectacular👌😍👍
The drummer is superb.

My hero! He is a true one off...nobody comes close to him on a stage
Who could be more radiant than him?
My favorite bowie song ❤
In sync spot on
Wow! This is how to work the stage. taking notes here...
Reeves Gabrels, best Bowie’s guitar player. With Mike Ronson.
Stinky weather fat, shaky hands
Dopey morning doc, grumpy gnomes 😍 I love david Bowie
If I was in the public I wouldn't be able to keep myself from getting up and start headbanging when the Rock kicks in!
so far away ♫♫
That drummer….my goodness!!!
Best album!
1:16 TRAIN TIME!!!!!!
My fav bit
Thank you ...David ...tight performance.
Such a well-constructed song! 👍
After all, it is awesome. I will not fade even after years.
Que temazo!
MAGICK!!!
This is from the VH1 fashion awards in 1996.
Quintissential Bowie ...
いつ見てもかっこいいなぁ、、、😳
If this is Universal Ampitheatre, I was at this show. 3rd row, stage right.
Tim Tobish pure magic
Love David mind, he’s a genius and all that, but this is like your Dad doing an impression of the Prodigy at a school party.
I love the performance as much as I love your comment lol Poor Duncan huh :D
Thanks for this post!
😇😀🙏🙏
Is that from the Bowie's 50th anniversary concert?
Não.
❤️🥰
Fucken great.
Who's the guitar player with the ostrich feather guitar strap?
Reeves Gabrels
...aqui e agora...
what year is this and where it was performed?
+say66HELLO Has to be the Earthling Tour, prolly '97. I saw this tour, it was amazeballs.
+Tim Tobish You were wrong, this particular performance was at the fashion rewards in 96.
😱😎
Another Great Album with great designs and packaging of a style that was already Hip----til Dave took it to the Charts.
his age sames mr.TATSURO.
Dogme et Rituel de la Haute Magie
unsychronized
He's looking so far beyond this audience it's not funny. We're too stupid for this.
Not Bowie’s finest moment. Not like him to jump on a trend for the sake of it.
