The EU NEEDS to detach itself from relying on the US before it drags us down into the gutter with it. 1) We MUST unify our defense systems, we are stronger together AND despite the cultural differences war between its members is unthinkable. 2) It MUST become technologically self sufficient. Draghi was correct in his analysis and now it's twice as important we follow it. We need to produce our own medicine , digital technology, telecommunications and weapons. In fact the two fields we ABSOLUTELY cannot afford to not have a lead in are medical technology (if the EU remains in its trailing position in regenerative medicine, bionics, anti-aging, bioprinting and gene therapy technologies our medical system will collapse under its own weight as abti democratic regimes could use access to it as a wedge to control our politics) and our weapons technology. In both cases we need an organized, common, EU driven, organized and funded initiative with clear and ambitious goals, serious funding and tight timelines. 3) We NEED to unify our defense. Let us not be stupid, we're not going to go to war with each other, but the threats from outside are not something we can play with as small divided militaries with unbalanced budgets, personnel, weapons, etc. Together we are unassailable, divided we are snacks. 4) The US's upcoming descent into madness will cause a lot of people to flee. This is the chance for the EU to get A LOT of highly educated, motivated and determined people to join it who will hold democratic values that will aid us in not only upholding ours but making us a global superpower that can be the world's stabilizing force through sheer technological and cultural influence. We must have a system in place within WEEKS to accept them, help them settle and gain citizenship fast. 5) The EU must immediately form plans to federalize. If Hungary is in the way we should kick it out. We don't have the time to afford to play stupid games anymore. This is not a time where we can squabble like children. We either unite as brothers and sisters into a whole greater than the sum of its parts or we will fall. 6) Nuclear energy. We must embrace it ASAP This process will need a lot of energy, renewables may be nice and have use cases, but let's be honest, we NEED to become the people who harness the greatest amount of high desity possible to power a re-industrialization in all high tech sectors.

Considering that the EU still the second largest defense spender and second largest consumer market, we are capable to do it. If we will do it, it’s another question
most of the eastern NATO members already spend 2% of their GDP on defense. it can be done, even sweden spends 2.2% of gdp on defense, and is the poster child of social democracy. the EU could definitely stand on its own without the US. the question is absolutely if they will, or if you guys need some more sense beaten into you to do so.
@@nathaniel1207 For the EU to stand on its own would require countries to be prepared to send their citizens to die to protect the lives of people in other countries. It's not a choice. They want US to provide them help while they use their money on domestic policies. They cannot go back now on any of it and are basically struck as any cut in welfare will cause revolt and overthrow from their current electorate. They will never be a military superpower ever again.
Yeah, it's 100% a choice. And it's a good one when facing peace. But let's also not forget that there's a major limiting factor with germany. Our military, per constitution, is not allowed to perform military campaigns. The biggest power in the EU purposely chose to forbid itself the option of war. Unless we change that, the EU won't either. And it ain't gonna happen anytime soon, since Lindner just blew up our government, if at all. We kinda have a good reason not to.
I dont think the EU acting like a single military power with projection ability like the US is attainable without (too much) sovereignty transfer and bureaucracy. But then, we dont really need that, we need to have a common understanding of our regional defense needs and a fair and practiceable distribution of the jobs inside it.

That's true, but then he said he'd let russia invade those countries, but russia would have to go through countries that pay 2% or more to get to those 😂
but it's not contributing, that's the big lie that keeps getting told. the 2% target is what member are supposed to spend on THEIR OWN military, and it's a gentlemen's agreement not even a real rule. no matter if France spends 0% or 100% on defense the rest of NATO won't feel any of it (expect for the US where most of that defense budget would be spend to buy stuff). the 2% is a guideline to have a simple target of what amount of defense spending keeps your military in a healthy condition, nothing more.
Dont disagree but not going hard against RUSSIA doing imperialism and violent expansion is a way bigger disgrace to NATO than not being fully commited to financial obligations. So we should take the critique of someone like that way less seriously than someone less hypocritical and actually being comitted to the dignity of NATO

But they won't. Their entire politics is built around the assumption of dependence on the US. Do you see European countries ever being militarily strong in your lifetime? The people who want Europe to be independent of the US are the politicians that most Europeans are afraid of.
thats not true, having a strong Europe only benefits the US. We get to focus more attention in Asia which is the future. we save money. and having a strong Europe would be great for american manufacturing and tech since europeans are already rich. plus, europe can now take on more burdens that the US takes now, like foreign aid to poor countries and other stuff.

For example, the EU has no strategy for the Ukraine conflict, other than keep sending weapons and billions of euros to Ukraine... and then what? For how long? It's been several years. Ukraine is not going to win against a country 20 times its size. There needs to be a different approach.

It will be good in the same way Ukraine was good for the EU. Meaning it will force us to get our shit together and move towards a more united union instead of a burocratic nightmare
I agree on the first part, but not the Burocratic nightmare. Especially Brexit has shown how much easier it makes trading inside the single market and how well organized the EU is. Yes, it has a big Burocratic system, but that's more the result of being responsible for such a big block. But for its size, I doubt that there was ever a more efficient bureaucracy ever.
From a Finnish point of view, this might be just what is needed for Europe as a whole. Finland has wanted a strong self-sufficient Europe that can and will stand militarily alone. A Europe that will show its strength on world stage politically and otherwise. Mind you, the US will always be an ally for us but the US has their own issues. France leading, the EU can start anew. Us EU are a world power and it's time to start acting like one. Complaining about the possible costs is pitiful.
US literally never allies with anyone stronger or even approaching to being a peer. From the US point of view, any powerful entity is a threat to their global dominance that is quickly pushed down
When it comes to Ukraine I believe the Ukrainian people are not going to give up even if the US decides to give up on them. They will settle for nothing less than absolute security guarantees so Russia can't just take a few years to recuperate and then go back in
A second Trump presidency could, paradoxically, be precisely the catalyst the European Union needs to advance toward federalization. The likely shift to a more transactional and inward-looking U.S. foreign policy under Trump would challenge Europe’s traditional reliance on the American security umbrella and expose vulnerabilities in the EU’s fragmented approach to international affairs. In a world of multipolar power dynamics, a divided Europe risks strategic marginalization; thus, the urgency for a cohesive, federalized response has rarely been so acute. Historically, Trump’s “America First” stance revealed the strategic pitfalls of Europe’s dependence on the U.S., prompting European leaders to explore deeper defense, economic, and technological cooperation. A renewed Trump administration could amplify this effect, crystallizing the understanding that Europe must take decisive responsibility for its own security and sovereignty. This scenario underscores the need for a robust European defense policy, an autonomous technological base, and economic policies resilient to the pressures of external shocks. From the perspective of political theory, Trump's influence could represent a form of exogenous pressure-a condition often recognized in politology as a trigger for institutional transformation. Facing this external challenge, European leaders may be compelled to overcome political inertia and address enduring structural constraints that hinder a cohesive policy. The political will to create and sustain a federalized structure may no longer be simply idealistic but rather a functional necessity. In this light, a second Trump presidency might indeed be the necessary “shock to the system”-an impetus to finally push forward the federal project. Under these conditions, Europe could emerge as a self-sufficient actor, resilient in defense, economically autonomous, and diplomatically influential, empowered to safeguard its values and shape its own trajectory on the global stage.
The problem usually was that the US always opposed European Defence integration in favour of NATO and Europe went along with it. Now the US pretends that they were just waiting for EU Defence, which is BS. The US and the EU both were ok with the situation despite critics on both sides. The US has not been a reliable ally for a while now. That’s why Europe should have started this process in 2016. but the next best day to start is today.
Basicly what happened to Turkey. Turkey could probably never make military drones, diffrent types of missiles, apc's etc mostly domesticly so fast if not for embargos showing the goverment they had to have self sufficent capebilities
Investors care less about foreign politics and more about return on investment. The American market is up because Americans believe Trump will help their investments. People would be silly not to invest in the US if the market is projected to swing upward.
investors like ROI, and the US has a really good buisness policy (letting buisnesses suck their workers dry) and low tax rates. when investors see that, they run to the companies that make it possible
Throw the ball back into their court, basically implement tariffs for anything from the US. EU is a bigger consumer market, so if industries face the same amount of tariffs, why would they move to the US? Its time the EU recognise that they are a big player in the world, and not just subservient to the US.
Won't work the US is one nation the EU is just playing like its one Nation. If you're going to implement tariffs then you need to be able to build that industry internally to meet demand. The US can do this but getting all countries within EU to agree is not going to happen.
and add some extra tariffs on goole, facebook and apple stuff, the crown jewels of the US economy. maybe even make a deal with TMSC to prevent the US from using Dutch made chip making machines, so the US will be at least a generation behind in high tech chips. the orange guy and his lackeys didn't even think it through.

I came here to comment that I think it means for Europe that it should fly by itself again and stop being so dependent on US economy and politics, but I see everyone else has the same idea, which makes me glad... Europe needs to get its shit together once and for all. We have everything we need: resources, brilliant people, capital, etc It's time for the EU and Europe as a whole to get its pieces running, become independent economically, produce its own clean energy through Nuclear, invest in Fission research, develop its own military complex and become a great superpower, a confederation super state that has all of its smaller states working together in an efficient machine. Fuck all the buerocracy, fuck being nice and especially, fuck depending on others. It's time to tighten that chain and be the superpower Europe used to be by its own merit!

Peace with Russia is not going to hurt Europe, even if it is not going to be a good agreement for Ukraine. EU defense program should continue and go deeper, and the probability of this happening increased because Trump won. Regarding de-industrialization, EU should find its niche and become better. We need to become the silicone Valley of the world, in my opinion, because we don't have other resources to sell to stay rich.
Not gonna happen, EU is too overregulated, has expensive energy because of lack of resources and it's own stupidity, expensive workforce. Even know-how isn't there anymore. Europe will not reindustrialise, it will deindustrialise even further. In our lifetime Europe will look the same as Africa. And in the near future we may expect continued drop in purchase power of regular people, social and ethnic tensions and general chaos. That's my prediction.
@@MyPrideFlag I agree, although it will probably look a bit more like the post-soviet union and not permanent like Haiti. Poverty, hunger, alcohol and drugs rampant, social unrest but not a complete collapse. We'll get a 'shock' until a new order rises from the EU's ashes.
@@MyPrideFlag We will never look like Africa because we are already built and these buildings will not just randomly fall apart. Neither will our infrastructure. Our leaders aren't that stupid to just let it decline unless they do it on purpose. WE do have resources though. So your predictions are very incorrect to begin with. You don't realize what resources Europe does have. In fact my country has natural gass, but they want to have clean longterm energy. So it can continue with that energy forever. That is what we are trying to do. This is in the end also a way to make ourselves self sufficient. Because some European countries do rely more on China or Russia then others. The expensive energy is not a lack of resources but not willing to use what we have at least in my country because we had cheap gass ourselves. Europe will never let it decline because it will always be able to buy energy from other places because there are lots of places with resources. Expensive workforce is what you need when prices are higher. The only reason why cheap countries are growing is because of their cheap slavery workers and low costs, but that will change in the future like it did in Europe and it in the USA. They will not be able to keep up the growth as they have now either. Adventually everyone needs to pay more and we will see where that leads the world, but the whole world will face the same issues with expensive workforce, lack of birth and chaos at some point in time, but you shouldn't be negative because we already exist for thousands of years and we are still okay so it will be perfectly fine.
There is a reason pretty much all economists ever are against tariffs. You are primarily taxing your own people. But people are dumb/dont know how econ works and dont realize tariffs are just another form of tax they have to pay.

We will see about that. How well were we off after WW2 or WW1? not that well right?. War is never good, so we are spending money for something that shouldn't take place to begin with. The best thing we can do is being allies with our neighbor instead of fighting them.

I'm far from being a Trump supproter, but his stance on NATO is totally understandable. If you break the agreement by not paying more than 2% of your GDP towards the defence, why shouldn't US break the agreement by refusing to protect you? What is so shocking about this statement? There are a lot of "freeloaders" in NATO right now (including my own country - Italy) and it's good that Trump is pushing them towards spending more, it's good long term.
2 reasons: most members do pay 2% or more. And there is no written agreement/rules in NATO regarding 2%. So Trump is asking something what is not even signed. The USA also needs to decide does it want the Europe become more separate from the USA and thus potential military rival, or not.
All neighbors to Russia pay 2% tho. So the whole speech and “Russia can do whatever they want” was unnecessary or an indication that the U.S. won’t even help the 2% countries. It’s not like Italy or Luxembourg are the ones getting attacked
so what do the "freeloading" countries get? it's not that they get a chuck of the (insane amount of) money the US spend on it's defense budget. you could argue that they get peace of mind by having the assurance of being protected by the US and so they can spend on other things than defense. but that is assuming the US doesn't get anything in return for being the "shield" of those nations. the US gets to dictate things to it's allies, pressure them to go the way the US wants them to, and pressure them to spend their defense budget on US made stuff. so the US assures safety for those nations and gets money, influence, jobs and more in return for it. seems to be the US has the upper hand in the current situation, and if the US stops being the "shield" they lose all those benefits and won't win anything.
@@neventomicic3301. No one is worried about Europe becoming a military rival. 2. There was an agreement made by all the members in Nato, it however wasn't binding. 3. Most NATO members did not meet the 2% threshold when Trump was President. It was something like the US, France, UK and that was it.

The EU must stop relying on the United States since it has made it patently clear that Ukraine is a European problem. Trump will certainly stop supporting Ukraine in the first days of his presidency and the EU will have no choice but to fill the gap. Also, it is likely Trump will pull the United States out of NATO. This shouldn't mean the end of NATO, but it will force Brussels to take the lead. The EU can do this, but it is going to be painful. The question is, is the pain worth saving Ukraine from Russia? @@lazarus3956 I totally agree with your take except your last statement. No one is going to be there to help us except ourselves. That mentality must stop otherwise we are done. Also, for Christ's sake, Brussels should really take a break on trying to regulate everything under the sun. It is killing innovation.
The EU is unlikely to have as much of a response collectively as individual member nations do. Member nations control their own defense budgets. Remember Trump literally wrote a book on his approach to negotiations. He always starts by making unreasonable demands but is willing to negotiate down.
I doubt significant manufacturing will move to the US if Trump imposes flat tariffs. Moving manufacturing to the US would mean having to pay to build new production lines, having to pay higher labour costs, and having to pay more for raw materials, while US consumer purchasing power falls anyway, and retaliatory tariffs make it more expensive to sell to the rest of the world. This might give European manufacturers greater incentive to move production to China or Indonesia, but it won't move manufacturing to America.
It's easy, just add a bunch of yellow squares with the letter I (Industry) on it. Then connect it to roads, water, and electricity. After a couple hours, manufacturing will move in and start producing goods if there are enough red squares with the R (residential) letter close enough to commute to it. Oh wait, that's SimCity and not real life. Never mind.

We must embrace it ASAP

no matter if France spends 0% or 100% on defense the rest of NATO won't feel any of it (expect for the US where most of that defense budget would be spend to buy stuff).
the 2% is a guideline to have a simple target of what amount of defense spending keeps your military in a healthy condition, nothing more.

That’s why Europe should have started this process in 2016. but the next best day to start is today.

well you know that china and usa are not allies but they still rely on each other ? why would it be any different with eu.
investors like ROI, and the US has a really good buisness policy (letting buisnesses suck their workers dry) and low tax rates. when investors see that, they run to the companies that make it possible

Also democracy in poor european countries is a joke. One big joke written poorly where everything works just as we were in a cliche comedy and repeats itself until it becomes tragic.
I came here to comment that I think it means for Europe that it should fly by itself again and stop being so dependent on US economy and politics, but I see everyone else has the same idea, which makes me glad...

It probably means more pain

5:17 so the US economy takes the worst hit from those tariffs? Pretty dumb to do so then
There is a reason pretty much all economists ever are against tariffs. You are primarily taxing your own people. But people are dumb/dont know how econ works and dont realize tariffs are just another form of tax they have to pay.
A friendly divorce with bilateral cooperation on certain topics would be my best case scenario.
Europe has a great track record of working together so detaching from the US’s hegemonic power will no doubt work.
It will take time, it will be difficult but it can and must be done.
😅😅😅
It can be done but, yeah, Europeans have been killing each other since forever until America loomed over them, first economically then militarily.
This is good for Europe. Strategic and military independence is what is needed.
Hopefully cheaper Energy due to the 'drill drill drill' attitude. We need to take advantage of this to build alternative power sourced, preferably nuclear power due to its immense potential.
yeah lets hope Germany gets their shit together with that hahah
Why would he sell the energy at cheaper prices? Europe is desperate now and has no alternatives. For a businessman it's the best time to squeeze as much profit as you can
@NJ-wb1cz oil prices are global. The more supply there is, the cheaper it is for everyone.
As a Green myself, you are right
@@NJ-wb1cz because he's more likely to sell any at all when there's the Arab nations close by that can do the same thing
Of course he is good for Europe. Will finally rebuild their army.
Pffft.
We will see about that. How well were we off after WW2 or WW1? not that well right?. War is never good, so we are spending money for something that shouldn't take place to begin with. The best thing we can do is being allies with our neighbor instead of fighting them.
@@-_YouMayFind_- It only works if your neighbors think the same way. Otherwise they will just f... you. The Best way to avoid conflicts is to have a strong army.

Agreed, but tell that to Trump.
Macron wants EU reform it won't matter if Trump is the president or not. Stubb will be the "new EU heavyweight" together we will reform EU. I am working on some ideas and have been active on LinkedIn recently.
Right.. talking on an American platform about being active on an American platform
6:15 reliance?? we dont need us nor do we want it
I'm far from being a Trump supproter, but his stance on NATO is totally understandable.
@@neventomicic330They just started in the last 2 years. Stop trying to make it seem like they’ve cared about defense.
so what do the "freeloading" countries get?
it's not that they get a chuck of the (insane amount of) money the US spend on it's defense budget.
you could argue that they get peace of mind by having the assurance of being protected by the US and so they can spend on other things than defense.
but that is assuming the US doesn't get anything in return for being the "shield" of those nations.
the US gets to dictate things to it's allies, pressure them to go the way the US wants them to, and pressure them to spend their defense budget on US made stuff.
so the US assures safety for those nations and gets money, influence, jobs and more in return for it.
seems to be the US has the upper hand in the current situation, and if the US stops being the "shield" they lose all those benefits and won't win anything.
@@neventomicic3301. No one is worried about Europe becoming a military rival.
2. There was an agreement made by all the members in Nato, it however wasn't binding.
3. Most NATO members did not meet the 2% threshold when Trump was President. It was something like the US, France, UK and that was it.
I hope the EU strengthen itself and not need America anymore. Time America wass minimised
Hey, as long as Europe stop freeloading off of us, I am good lol
Trump believes that the EU must assert itself more confidently and stop depending so heavily on the US.
like how?
how is the EU depending on the US?
@ Many EU countries are de-industrializing while relying on the U.S. for military, energy, and space support. They need to face bullies like China and Russia on their own and avoid dragging us into another cold war, especially with Trump's leadership.
We can't roll the dice every 4 years. Need to be way more self-sufficient, especially in terms of defence. Should have at least made a start 8 years ago.
It’s time for EU to stop depending on America and be more self sufficient.
Well, he said don't build the pipeline. Spend more on defense. He was completely right.
EU can now stop clinging on their daddy
Agreed. EU should strategically decouple from the US and pivot to China, bringing an end to the dollar being the primary hegemony and world currency
It doesn't takes a genius to deduce that he is an absolute and holistic self-centered person - so what you expect???
The EU must stop relying on the United States since it has made it patently clear that Ukraine is a European problem. Trump will certainly stop supporting Ukraine in the first days of his presidency and the EU will have no choice but to fill the gap. Also, it is likely Trump will pull the United States out of NATO. This shouldn't mean the end of NATO, but it will force Brussels to take the lead. The EU can do this, but it is going to be painful. The question is, is the pain worth saving Ukraine from Russia? One would hope so.
What makes you think the EU can do this?
@@lazarus3956 a very optimistic and admittedly perhaps naive hope that Europeans can come together with the knowledge that it will be sandwiched in between an aggressive Russia to the east and a non-interested quasi-ally to the west. The Atlantic ocean will seem wider than ever before.
@@sananp.4718 The problem is that the EU is already behind on pretty much everything; growth is almost absent for all kinds of reasons. To truly become competitive again, we need partners who help us develop. We need cheap energy, huge investments, markets to export to, a technological exchange to catch up to others, better education for more STEM graduates etc. Who will help us? Because clearly we can't do it on our own at this point in time.
@@lazarus3956 I totally agree with your take except your last statement. No one is going to be there to help us except ourselves. The EU will go through more pain before it realises the EU can only rely on its citizens and not the other way around. The EU is a political/geographical body made up of 450 million people, however, over 60% of those only wait for handouts and it's been like since the Marshall Plan. That mentality must stop otherwise we are done. Also, for Christ's sake, Brussels should really take a break on trying to regulate everything under the sun. It is killing innovation.
I hate that I agree with Trump about nato . Europe isn’t doing what they agreed too so why should we? Pay what you agreed too
the US President doesn't have the authority to withdraw from NATO
He can cut the spending though.
USA made their own problems big and now Europe has to pay for them XD
Can the EU detach? Nah, Russia is heading for Berlin. How do we know? They say it openly.
🤣
They can't even take Ukraine so there is no much to worry about
I mean, at least half of the former GDR would openly welcome them as liberators, so...
If Europe is so scared of Russia? Why are they barely trying to become capable of defending themselves instead of relying on the US?
Lmao they can't even take Kyiv but you think they can get to berlin? 🤣.
Glad to see Europe finally waking up so how detrimental such close ties to the US are
@@ReijiSakamaki Strange how it takes Trump for people to finally start waking up, because this has been a trend for many years now.
No Company with 2 braincells will still want to move to China.
Never mind.
A big issue with Trump is that it's hard to tell if what he says is his actually plans or just him saying stuff to to please his supporters.
Everyone ignoring the climate change elephant in the room.
Climate issues will take a back seat
Unfortunately climate change itself is boring
I’m American and I certainly don’t enjoy subsidizing the countries that ruined my ancestral land (like Germany, not just the UK).

They would have to be honest and read the article.
Sounds like you refered to the first President of the Fifth French Republic as 'de Ghoul!' My favourite comic would then be called 'Asterix the Ghoul' lol😅
Giorgia Meloni has never said anything that was pro trump during the us electoral campaing and remained neutral, she just congratulated with him like every country leader does. I don’t understand why putting her with wielders or orban who were supporting him since before being re elected.
Because she's right-wing... it's simply that. No thoughts
@ Right wing who although has been professional in being neutral like a good leader should be.
Yes, maybe this could be the push for a more united Europe that is just for us Europeans.
Real quick thing for Europeans who might not understand why the US isn’t willing to back Ukraine 110%. We don’t see it as an existential threat. We have our alliance and that’s secure, and Ukraine beating up Russia is just icing on the cake. Very few Americans want to risk getting pulled into another expensive and long term overseas venture. So we are willing to be the bad guys if that means bringing peace to the region.
cant imagine america's economy dying somehow being positive for eu
It will be tough for Europe, but they have already decoupled from Russian fossil fuels so it is possible.
imagine if google , youtube disappear much of the world will collapse except maybe china who have their own stuff
Hope Europe turns more and more to the right
From an Estonian point of view, im gald this will probably be the spark that will start a formation of an EU army, but im deeply anxious for Ukrainians, he will very likely withdraw all support for Ukraine and let Russia have a field day. And even more anxious that he will become a dictator of the US since there are little to no guard rails stopping him
What makes you think that?
less than 50% of Estonians know English and 15 % of Estonians only know Estonian and its even worse in many other European countries like Italy or France
Honestly as a european we needed this wake up call. Him getting elected sooner rather than later is going to push europe to actually learn to defend itselfs instead of burying our heads in the sand
No. Next question, please.

One of the smoothest ad transitions I’ve seen
As an American its kinda annoying to see Europeans question our lack of healthcare while gladly relying on our military spending.
The USA spends more on healthcare than most European countries but isn’t free for everyone
It's not like you don't have the money for healthcare because you spent too much on military spending, you're just mismanaging your public spending which in case of health care is still incredibly high.
@@mrgalaxy396 this same argument can be made towards Europe and its
Military spending. Correct? It’s not like Europe doesn’t have money to better protect itself.
@@mrgalaxy396 all I’m hearing is “ no, you can foot the bill for us, you’re just not managing your money correctly”.
Those two are linked as we all know
😂
Only in the sense that it'll force Europe to be more self reliant in military matters.
Your bias is showing TLDR…
Yes, because it means Europe is gonna need to start defending itself again and not rely on others...
I expect higher trade with china and pain in some industries as tarrifs cut into profits. I expect all funding to be dropped from Ukraine and imf loans to be provided instead.
As a European i think the timing for this isn't the best seeing that Ukraine is at war with Russia, but then again i somewhat understand that the USA is fed up with us relying on them for protection.
Well time for a federal EU I guess🇪🇺
Well, its been nice seeing a largely independent Eastern Europe.
"What does Trump Mean for Europe?"
It means that i should probably start learning russian and chinese
Or Finnish and Italian.
That's not a bad thing tbh, I'd like to learn both lol
Well if you put it like that it kinds sounds fun and cute 😂
Why though?
As opposed to basically all EU countries speaking more English than native languages
For the EU? No. For Europeans? YES!
It means you're up needs to start relying more on itself than relying so much on the United States
No probably not.. but maybe in a counter intuitive way may make the eu more self sufficient
There's a bare minimum expenditure for a member state of NATO. Pay your share of the alliance, don't be weak, there wouldn't be a reason to "abandon" anyone. Finland, a nation who barely has a fraction of population to some European states, would have been able and has been paying for that expenditure without even being in NATO for decades.
Finland, Sweden, Poland, Estonia, Latvia & Lithuania, the UK & Greece are the NATO members in europe that spend >2% of GDP on defense. SWEDEN, a famously social democracy can do it. Europe can have its social democratic cake and eat it too, I genuinely dont understand why so many EU countries cant abide by a treaty THEY signed decades ago (in most cases).
Why is your sound mixing so bad?? The levels are all over the place. Do you do any quality checks before you upload the video ?
