    Remember when you asked if the WSU performance was a fluke or a sign of more bad things to come and I was “negative” for saying a sign of bad things?
    If your coach looks completely overwhelmed by the moment and in over his head @ Rutgers who was allowing us to gain 9yards per play and literally couldn’t win if UDUB just got an early 2-score lead and vs WSU who gave up 52pts to SJSU after we only scored 19pts and Ashton Jeanty himself scored 9 more points on WSU than we scored them as an entire team, then as someone who gets paid $7.5M a year to beat out-recruit, out-develop, and win 9/10 big high pressure games necessary to win MULTIPLE BIG-10 Titles AND CFP National Championships PLURAL hows he going to be able to do that better than just Oregon/Oklahoma/Penn State/Ole Miss/USC/Miami/Florida State/A&M/Mizzou/Nebraska let alone the blue bloods where UDUB has been building to belonging with for 35yrs like Ohio St/Bama/UGA/Texas/Michigan?! Meanwhile DeBoer is able to get out to a 28-0 1st half lead on UGA with a defense much better than Rutgers.
    After the hiring pattern of Sark the hot offensive guy, Pete the responsible pro offensive guy, Jimmy Lake the DBU genius who’s lazy af, DeBoer the offensive guru who won with Jake Haener at Fresno state but can’t staff or recruit, and now Jedd Fisch the failed suitcase of an NFL OC/QB coach who’s trying to be the McVay-Shanahan-LaFleur-McDaniel-O’Connell-Kubiak of college after never being able to keep a job more than 3yrs, it’s time for a HC who’s not about the X’s and O’s but all about instilling an identity of the meanest/nastiest/deepest/most badass fighters along the OL and DL with the highest motor/fastest/most violently seeking out contact playmaker who hate losing more than anything and love winning more than anything that they a) police themselves to be the most discipline highest football IQ team and b) compete to win every rep vs elite talent across from you with the same mentality and passionate urgency as you’d have on a play to win the natty, and instead of him being overly focused on X’s and O’s, surround him with two great OC/DC’s with great position coaches with great GA’s so that the position coaches are OC/DC’s in waiting and the GA’s are position coaches in waiting. Just look at what Dan Campbell’s done in changing the entire identity and culture of the losingest franchise in American sports.

    27:20 One thought I had on the flight home from NJ: Teams that have trouble scoring form inside the 10 will take shots at the endzone when they get into opponent territory, usually between the 30-40 yard line. For example, DeBoer and Grubb would have trouble inside the 10, too, and that's why we threw so many TDs from outside the 30. But this season, instead of taking shots once we cross into opponent territory, Fisch is switching in Williams at QB and running read-option, or a PA call that results in a QB scramble. This often gets us into the redzone, but ultimately (and ironically), we get too close to score a TD. I think we need to take more shots from the 30-40 yard range, but maybe we don't because of Will's arm? Or we just can't protect long enough for something like that to develop?

    • @jamesfarnan7456
      @jamesfarnan7456 Месяц назад +4

      The problem with that is you're correct but the bigger issue is this once we get down to the one or two yard line then coach takes out Demons and puts wheel back in. The coach is putting the mind out there at the 50-yard line and running a few options to get a first down you should be doing that same play at first and goal from the 2 look back on every drive with the goal line it's been Will Rogers at the 2-yard line not demond

  • @dougrobinson6683
    @dougrobinson6683 Месяц назад +2

    In talking about the limited use of Jonah Coleman, my biggest fear with Fisch's program is that he's more about preparing guys for the league than he is about winning games. For example, he treats the non-conference like preseason, limits Jonah Coleman's carries, and makes sure the prized backup QB gets a number of high-stakes reps. Yes, I'm sure Fisch wants to win, but as of right now, I'm not sure it's his top priority.
    I had better be wrong.

    • @DR-qd7go
      @DR-qd7go Месяц назад

      I'm comfortable with limiting carries with 3 capable backs. We want guys to go to the league. The more NFL players we produce, the better recruits we can get. And if we take care of them and they know they're not getting overworked like Ollie Gordon getting 28 carries against an FCS team or Monangai averaging 25 carries per game. RB's are the most expendable in the NFL, take care of them and we'll continue to be a destination not only for QB's and WR's, but also RB's.

    • @daddio159
      @daddio159 Месяц назад +1

      Yes, you’re wrong. Jedd is trying to conserve his star back for the whole season. We have 4 really good backs. 12-15 to Jonah, 8-10 to Cam and 5 each to the Adam and Sam.

    • @dougrobinson6683

      @@dougrobinson6683 Not if they were all on the same team at the same time. Especially not when one of them were banged up. A good coach knows what he has, and when you have that many great backs, you share the load, especially learning the lesson that when you lean on only one back, and he gets hurt, you’re screwed. Which is exactly what killed us last year. So yup, I’m happy that coach is smarter than most fans.

    • @daddio159
      @daddio159 Месяц назад

      @@dougrobinson6683 but since we’re on the subject. None of those guys truly had to share the load, though Myles did with Lavon a little.
      However. Let’s look at some of the best backs. Napoleon Kaufman avgd 16 carries over 4 years. Polk, 19, though some
      Seasons were lower some higher
      Gaskin 16,17,18,21
      C Dillon, who was a one man wrecking crew and only played one year 24.
      But again, we have 3-4 backs and Jedd said Jonah is nicked up. So yeah, I’d rather spread the wealth than only use one dude and beat him to death. That’s horrible coaching.

Brand new offense, we don't want to be one-dimensional... every play is designed not just for the game, but film, finally settling in what coach pete calls 'fluid' plays... we don't even know what ours are yet, it takes time, all of it has a purpose. Trying to build a 12 team playoff team in shortest and most intelligent way.... I'm satisfied. IMHO, on schedule

    This is probably where the UW wins then. What did they see in the last 4 games that would deliver us over to the idea that UW can win. Was it the fact that Will Rogers fumbles the ball at least once a game, and comes close to fumbling at least twice a game or more? Or is it the fact that we will commit at least a number of stupid penalties a game on offense to absolutely slow down our here drives. UW can beat Rutgers in every on-board stat that there is, and still lose. Same with WSU, we beat them almost in every status line, and we lose that game. Why do we have Will Rogers as QB still? Demond obviously could play now it has shown. Michigan has direction in their style of play. They know how to run. They know what they are doing in dealing with an opponent. UW cannot even score on the goal line. UW has to find areas on how they can make themselves better as now. Where we do not have to wait for like Will Rogers to leave. I like Will, but he is not going to be here next year. So why as waste our time on a guy who is only going to be here for a year? We are OK with not getting better with Will Rogers? He is the most obvious reason for us not winning. We should have at least a goal line scoring plan that includes Demond Williams as he gives us options down there that you can run. Will Rogers is a slow white guy who is limited. You can run many ad variances of an offense with Demond in the picture. I am for winning now and on into the future. Will Rogers passes for yards that you do not think that Demond could pass for? Demond has game. I just do not see the reason for struggling with Will Rogers and his limitations. Running Jonah Coleman is not a bad idea, but it still does not get us the score down on the block. I just hope that things get better. Otherwise, I would rather lose and do it and get better this year on into next year going. Rather than give a year over to Will Rogers to find out we can create a losing season with him as Will leaves at the end of the year. I would here rather build with Demond. I am here pro Demond.

      using Williams has been terrible for the offense...you bring him in for Rogers and it almost completely the continuity to a halt...Rogers gets frustrated and Williams really can do little effectively but run it or hand off...he is not a Div 1 level qb yet...it seems very clear that promises were made to get Williams to come to UW and trying to keep them is detrimental to this offense right now....leave hm on the bench......
