15 years later I haven't done El Nido and Coron Palawan yet. This is the next destination and I am taking my time for this Crown Jewel of The Philippines I don't like rushing going to do many destinations in The Philippines 😎🙌👍

When it comes the beauty of island and beach and many things to do and to see and attraction except beaches for me koh samui, krabi, phuket thailand and bali indonesia, i dnt not choose palawan, its boring nothing much to to and underdeveloped this island the only you can there is island hopping and swim😂😂😂😂😂
The old hotels have those equally old air conditioners. In a separate note , if you love scuba diving, the diving sites in the Philippines are ranked top in the world. Not Palawan, that’s more for the beaches.Tubbataha has consistently been voted #1 in the world because the Philippines is one of the most marine-biodiverse in the world. Filipino time is something that the Philippines needs to address. Filipinos do not stress about time and not like the west where they stress out about everything. It is just a totally chill vibe in the country.
We loved Palawan, we had made the excursions from Port Barton because El Nido is really too busy, but we really enjoyed San Vicente with deserted beaches and especially the eclosion of baby turtles, a really magical moment 🥰🥰
Paddy is doing all his best to entertain at the most highest level he can possibly do. On the other hand he is human, has some imperfections but he is not hiding it and that goes the same with all the places he's been with. There's no perfect place in this world. There's always upside and downside of the trip and so with his moods! He shows his mood and real emotions. One way of expressing it is thru his songs! Love it! Keep going Paddy! I feel like you have something in common with us filipinos! We adore singing! Its our national talent! You win our hearts filipinos because we see something in common with your personality. In addition to that, you have great skills and high level of cinematography in all your videos. The most honest vlogger I've watch and followed so far! Keep it up Paddy! Im happy that you give a fair review of the Philippines. Its just shows that not all our beaches and islands are highly developed as a tourist spot and we want to keep it that way. We want our own people to enjoy our natural gems of islands and pristine and turquoise water. We don't want it to be highly commercialize that our own people will not enjoy it anymore. Besides there's more than 7,000 islands to explore. Please do check the Northern part of the Philippines. I highly recommend "Hundred Islands" in Alaminos Pangasinan. You will feel like youre in different world. Also highly recommended Batanes island up North of Luzon. But since you're in Visayas, please do explore more because El Nido, Coron, Boracay is just the tip of the iceberg! You haven't scratch the surface that enough yet! Thank you for this great video!
My friend, thank you for the kind words to Paddy, they helped me realize that the frustration I sometimes feel watching some of his videos is my shortcoming. I have failed to allow him to be human, and not be as enthusiastic or thankful as “I “ may have been to have that experience. Thank you for the lesson in humanity. Peace and happiness to you. Also thank you for the tips on other locations, I intend to visit your beautiful country next year. Paddy I truly appreciate you and have watched every video, thank you and please keep doing what you do so well.✌️
Might be wrong but his heart is in Thai so everything or everyone else will be based / compared on that. If true in a way that does not make him an authentic documentarian (if such a word exist) for example he often makes references between the SE Asian country he is (was) in as opposed to Thai. In Vietnam his go pro or bike helmet etc went missing/ stolen and then he said it did not happen to him in Thai. He also pretty much said Vietnamese food is bland/not nice as he likes his food spicy (I would say a reference to thai again as thai food is spicy) so my gut feeling is he would not be able to see or understand the PH as it is and therefore not be able to (probably) love it. So as you say Filipinos heart might be won over but his heart will not be, it is in Thai. He is based & his partner is from there.
you swim so good....actually when you're under water you just feel ONE with nature and you feel the peace and serenity....I always feel thankful that were alive and one with earth
You should have just stuck with Palawan province the entire trip. There's so much to explore from Coron to Balabac. Palawan province alone has almost 2,000 islands, which is more than all of Thailand combined. It's also the largest province (by land area) in the Philippines
El nido is such a paradise. I go there every year but not in summer season. June to February are the most ideal month. You'll have most of the beaches entirely on your own. 😊
I've stayed in Busuanga (Coron) many years ago - it's one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. @3:30 - unfortunately, this is the norm. After MANY trips and traveling ALL over the P.I., I would suggest going to Corregidor. After Intramuros - it is hands down, one of the most fascinating places in the P.I.
Thats why i like your vlog. its not just the good side which Filipinos like me would like to hear from tourists BUT also the honest to goodness truth behind it all.
And don't forget Mindanao! You've been to Davao for Mt. Apo expedition! that's awesome! Thank you for that great effort! But do you know that Mindanao has the most world-class Festival celebrations in the country? It will be a whole new experience for you Paddy! Our country is more of natural resources for people to enjoy and not more on the man-made infrastructure for tourist. We preserve old churches in different towns and provinces that shows our history that made up our country no matter how simple and ugly it gets as long as we preserve its original form. It's the story behind it that made up our history to better understand our traditions and cultures. Enjoy your travels! CHEERS!
Paddy, you are a very story teller, unlike a lot of vloggers just showing a mishmash of videos, yours are are well edited and produced. I enjoyed watching your Philippines series. More power!
El Nido is a little gem for excursions and you have to do them completely private to enjoy even more. I can't wait to see Coron again because there are great places ! Thank you Paddy 😊
I am married to a Filipina and have visited many places in the Philippines, and Palawan is my favorite island. However, haven't made it to El Nido. It is on my bucket list. Next time you go back to the Philippines, please visit Banue rice terraces, Segada, Vigan, Bohol Chocolate hills.
Top vlog, Paddy! You really made us feel like we were there with you! Snorkeling and beers on the beach? And a bit of music from Oasis? Can't get much better than that! 😎
You could, of course, get a private tour and upscale hotel, but yeah El Nido is just overcrowded. I like it that way though so I have other islands and locations all myself. 😊
Think the tour start was just unlucky I been on 2 tours in el nido last year. Loved them both We returning this year El nido is by far my favourite travel destination (beaches wise)
I've been to El Nido. Nacpan beach is my top beach. Next is the Duli Beach for surfing and lastly is Boracay. I missed El Nido. Plan to return on my next vacation. By the way, it is better if you get your tour at Leatherback. They have the best service and spot for snorkeling... Very Lovely staff also...
Really nice music! El Nido is very nice place to be! been there, done that, but its very tempting again with your stories. Wanna go back there. Beautiful sunsets. Thank you Paddy for sharing!
Wow! Its just scratching the surface, there is another Jurassic avatar scenery in the island of Coron, Balabac, Amanpulo and Huma Island also in Palawan, check it out
I visited El Nido a long time ago and wonder how it has changed. It was a popular diving destination at least before. I remember it being so relaxed that I didn't even have to wear a watch or bring my cellphone to know the time because it seemed that you were never late anywhere. I remember for example I never used an alarm clock in the morning to get to the diving lessons on time. Is half the town still out of electricity some parts of the day or have they already fixed that?
I kinda had the exact same experience/vibe when i went to there and got standed in the water during a high rain moment. We were forced to stay in the water as the boat lost its anker...anyway, was such a special moment, kinda giving in to the elements but under water it felt so peacefull :) .
Love you, Paddy! I enjoyed the video! Your channel is doing very well, but I really miss the old Paddy Doyle on his motorcycle that started this channel traveling to every province in Thailand where you introduced us to people and places most people mostly unseen by others, not just the touristy places that every travel vlogger goes too.
Should one want to commune with Nature, the Philippines is your destination. An archipelago with more than 7,640 islands offers a wide array of outdoor activities. From far north in Batanes to Sulu in the south, Pag-asa Island in far west to Benham Rise in the east, the coastline and enchanting inland features will usher any visitor a glimpse of this tropical paradise. Welcome to the Philippines.
I remembered Lost Le Blanc and Finnsnow has videos on their Nacpan beach exploration so many years ago and only local kids playing and swimming in the beach
Another great video Paddy! Knowing that you love the scooter rides, if you flew into Puerto Princess again would you consider riding a scooter to El Nido, taking 2 or 3 days along the way and seeing more of Palawan before and after El Nido. Or would you prefer to fly direct into El Nido as you didn't feel there was that much to see on the journey to the northern end of the island. Yes, I'm planning a trip there next year. What are your thoughts??
I slept in a tent on Nacpan beach and got horribly bitten by sandflies/nip nip. Over 100 bites per leg, and it totally ruined my holiday. But apart from that, El Nido is fantastic! I wanted to go to Port Barton as well, but my legs were so bloody itchy, I couldn't go anywhere near another beach again. I feel like I've got unfinished business in Palawan - this vid makes me want to go back, for sure!
When you have a chance to visit the place again, apply an “OFF!” lotion to keep sandflies, sand mites (nik-nik) and mosquitoes away. OFF! lotions are insect repellent and popular for the locals to apply on skin as protection from bites. OFF! lotions are available in drugstores (pharmacies) and supermarkets.
Hiya Paddy, this is my favorite place ever. Epic intro. Love your positivity, and hearing the negatives at the end of the series is great to help people. I love your channel. You are my favorite solo traveler on RUclips. I was going to say. It's not like you hooking up and going on a group tour. The Philippines has got to be one of the best places in the world to snorkel or scuba dive. The beach is spectacular. Crazy cheap price for the tour. Love that it rained and the kids splashed about. A whole different world is under the water. I got my PADI license when I was 16. I totally agree with you. You get lost in your own thoughts. You do make me giggle with the singing totally how the Philippines is. They love their karaoke. You're a great sport. The Russian girl, you crack me up. I bet that was hard work, not. Haha. That aircon is too much. Breakfast looks so good. So envious of your travels. Living your best life PD. Jumping Places got me hooked on the Philippines. Beautiful footage, Paddy. Coconut oil keeps those sand flies away. Epic drone shots. Love you bumped into some subscribers. Good vibes. Lovely couple. I bet you did have a giggle. Love he mentioned the petrol station dance. One of my favs. Wow, that sunset. Omg, the ending. Love it, Paddy. Can not wait for more. Thank you. Happy Wednesday.
Another cracking episode Paddy!! Loved the snorkeling in the rain and seeing you make some new friends - looked like an epic beach day. Can't wait for the debrief :-)
I would recommend going to Olongapo if I remember correctly it has an old navy port and a volcano that is popular. Also the most beautiful rice terraces I have ever seen were in the mountains up from Baguio a bit more north if I remember correctly the place was called Sagada. Very nice place 👍
You're absolutely right! Next time do a private tour, it's a lot more relaxing and enjoyable because you can go at your own phase. That's what we usually do when we go to Palawan.
I suggest try to Tao expedition which is have a 5days and 4 nights island hopping... It's so cool if you want a peace and enjoy the vibes to meet a new friends with different countries
Philippines tourism infrastructure isn't as efficient as in other Southeast Asian countries because it is less visited by tourists. Being made up of thousands of islands, it is disjointed and frustratingly more difficult to move around. But some say, that is where the charm of the Philippines lies.
I just got back from a week in the Philippines. Can't wait for the debrief. LOL Everything in the Philippines is an adventure, even down to how many electrical outlets in your hotel room. A month in the Phils without a local to help navigate? Your a better man than I Paddy Doyle.
Not watched all of this yet, but I loved the tours from el Nido... Next time I want to do the trip from coron to el Nido, where you stop over night in islands between the two and stay in local nippa huts. Enjoy South Korea... Glad you enjoyed the PI - it's a hard place to travel as soon as you leave the tourist areas.. like Thailand 15 years ago
U should get a private tour in El Nido theres a lot of option there. and a must do, tao or keeloma expedition, an expedition from el nido to coron, u will go to remote islands for yourself.i think u did not research well before going to the philippines
believe it or not, your mcdonalds scene i love as much as your most adventurous ones. it showed us all that even with life’s peak moments there are others where we just KIS.
Fun Fact: Lightning often strikes water, and water conducts electricity. That means that the currents from a lightning strike can seriously injure you. In fact, it can even kill you. This is why, when you hear thunder or see lightning, it's a good idea to avoid the pool, beach and any other large body of water.
Wow, the validation from you on El Nido's popularity on the tourism map, not just El Nido but the whole Palawan island itself why it was voted the best island in the world some time ago, well the disorganized way of travel and logistics is still in the works for this country but what matters most is the natural beauty that has been there still waiting to be discovered by a big percentage of world travelers...then there are still 7k + islands to be explored, whew, i bet nobody can do that in a lifetime, but hey there will always be next time and next destination which the Philippines can offer, diversity at its best.
I grew up with air conditioners that looked and sounded like that. I don't mind the noise that they make. It's relaxing to me, because when it grunts hard and makes that downshifting noise, that means "ICE COLD AIR COMING!!!"
Paddy what a lovely video 💙 I can’t wait to see the next one! It looks exciting and fun🏞️😎 When I go2 El Nido, I wouldn’t go on those tours ABCD. I think the LGU should put a limit of how many boats can go each day. So it doesn’t get too crowded. Tourists come from all over the world and they wanna experience the beauty and peacefulness of the islands at the same time.
Where ever you go there's always going to be ups and down over your trip. There's no such things as perfect trip. It's matter of perspective and enjoy the moment. 😊
Love all your videos Paddy, just started watching the Thailand tour all over again for the 2nd time BUT please for the love of God don't swim in a lightning storm! It's super dangerous, even if it seems the lightning is a distance away it can strike anywhere and that's like putting a toaster in the bath! And your little head poking out is a target! Please be careful!
Loved it Paddy, not been to El Nido but my teenage kids were there 5 years ago with their mom. Now I have to say your solo vocals are to my ear just 2 notes, both flat 😢 but make me smile. 😅😅😅
The music in this video (and the entire Philippines series) was made by Paddy Doyle and Zakroams. You can find Zak here - instagram.com/zakroams
What music🤷🙄
Music my arse

Thanks for sharing El Nido adventure ❤ Enjoy all Phils adventure Paddy😎
oh how i missed the philippines!😍 thank you so much for this beautiful video paddy!!! 😍
He did wait for the next episode.
Just wow! Hope you enjoy your visit depite of some circumstances.
Air Swift does, in fact, fly direct from Cebu to El Nido. I'm not sure if Paddy misspoke there or didn't know (21:15).
Amaaazing take! Love El Nido!
Philippines tourism infrastructure isn't as efficient as in other Southeast Asian countries because it is less visited by tourists. Being made up of thousands of islands, it is disjointed and frustratingly more difficult to move around. But some say, that is where the charm of the Philippines lies.
👍👍👍👍👏👏
Yes agreed, If it’s too easy it will spoil the fun for the rest of us who are just willing to chill and enjoy the beauty of the journey 😎
Looking forward to the debrief. 😁
Absolutely beautiful location!!
THANKS
I just got back from a week in the Philippines. Can't wait for the debrief. LOL Everything in the Philippines is an adventure, even down to how many electrical outlets in your hotel room. A month in the Phils without a local to help navigate? Your a better man than I Paddy Doyle.
what a spectacular sunset you captured. I love it.
Swimming in a storm is fantastic
Nice song with nature!
Tamsak done dikit nice Ang Ganda dyan Ang linaw Ng dagat
Not watched all of this yet, but I loved the tours from el Nido... Next time I want to do the trip from coron to el Nido, where you stop over night in islands between the two and stay in local nippa huts. Enjoy South Korea... Glad you enjoyed the PI - it's a hard place to travel as soon as you leave the tourist areas.. like Thailand 15 years ago
Epic👍🤩🎉🎊
U should get a private tour in El Nido theres a lot of option there. and a must do, tao or keeloma expedition, an expedition from el nido to coron, u will go to remote islands for yourself.i think u did not research well before going to the philippines
He went, wait for the next episode.
believe it or not, your mcdonalds scene i love as much as your most adventurous ones. it showed us all that even with life’s peak moments there are others where we just KIS.
Just, WOW
I love 'I am a fish' song....beautiful voice
Seeing cars and scooters wooshing by on the beach gave me strong mario kart vibes!
Much awaited el nido
Enjoy your stay in our country the Iland of Palawan is one of our gem and its the most beautiful..
Paddy that was their Filipino time.... Lol 😂 but they are hospitable and friendly people. I hope you enjoyed your time in El Nido
Great video again Paddy thanks very much ,,peace and happiness on your travels look forward to the next one
This is my favourite place you have shown so far on your travels in the Philippines. I can't wait to watch your debrief video 🙂
yeah it was a beautiful place for sure! the best is actually yet to come...
@@PaddyDoyle. Can't wait to see where that is!! 😃
Hope you can visit coron and make a private tour so you can avoid the crowded area
Loved it Paddy, not been to El Nido but my teenage kids were there 5 years ago with their mom. Now I have to say your solo vocals are to my ear just 2 notes, both flat 😢 but make me smile. 😅😅😅
Amazing next level Paddy
