I really like this RC blog. I find out all kinds of information I didn’t know before. I have been on several cruises and still find out things that are very helpful, if not for me but for the family and friends we cruise with. We are planning a birthday cruise for one of my daughters 50th birthday in June of 2024. And a friends 60th birthday in January 2024. I’m so excited.
I absolutely agree with you on the food situation. You are on vacation, there are plenty of things you can enjoy. You don’t have to just eat broccoli or you can only eat broccoli. There are plenty of choices . If you don’t like it, try something else. Thanks for your updates. 97 days countdown- Independence of the Seas.
Hey Matt did ovation of the seas just change their show in 270 from pixels to spectras cabaret? We were on anthem for 2 weeks and saw spectras so hope for something else next july
What are some tips to get off the ship first on port days (w/o The Key or suite class)? I booked a shore excursion on my own and have 30 minutes from schedule port time to get off the ship and meet the tour operators near dock.

I have a question. Going on Allure of the Seas. I have a 3 night dining package and I reserved a time for day 1. But how do I select the restaurant we want to eat at?
Was on independence last week 24-28 and Giovanni’s only allowed for 1 entree per person. Could get a pasta and also and entree but tried to get the filet and the prawns and was told no only 1 entree allowed
I love to cruise, but Royal Caribbean's pricing model confuses me. On the Wonder of the Seas, my wife & I can cruise in an inside cabin for around $1800 in September. When I add my 4 year old son to the room, my cruise total becomes around $4900. They force us to book a balcony room because we have 3 people in a room. If RCL wants families to cruise, why does it cost us $3000 to add our son to the room? Last year we cruised twice, on other cruise lines, & both were inside cabins.
@@mark2814b lol....a quick drive to Galveston would be leaving from Houston. Although, I will say flights to Galveston are cheaper than flying to Orlando or Miami. I have a cruise in 2025 out of Galveston on Harmony.
Enjoy your videos but disagree with you regarding your food comments…taste is definitely a personal call but no excuse regarding cold food. It seems to be a very consistent comment across many RCL ships on many vlogs, blogs and cruise critic comments. Just got off the Harmony and definitely experienced more cold food served in the MDR than in the past. Been on 20+ RCL cruises.
Make sure you book through an agent who know all the dirty tricks. We booked direct and the dishonest employee ripped us off on a cabin we didn’t want and charged us more to reserve it. So many pitfalls in cruising holidays. Shore excursions are an absolute rip off. Do not book on board. There will be 50-75% cheaper options onshore.
RUclips bloggers just tasted the new menus on Symphony.. lots of cruises.. what they moaned about was the food was COLD.. stone cold in some cases.. i'm not looking forward to the MDR on Symphony later this year.
I can tell you when I've dined in the MDR on two different cruises since the new menus rolled out on two different ships I had no issue with my food temperature.
