- The difference of two squares is a mathematical expression that can be used to simplify the multiplication of two binomials. It is based on the identity:
a^2 - b^2 = (a + b)(a - b)
where a and b are any two numbers.
To use the difference of two squares, simply factor the two binomials in the expression into the form (a + b) and (a - b). Then, multiply the two factors together to get the product.
For example, let's find the product of (x + 3) and (x - 3):
(x + 3)(x - 3)
First! And this really helped me for my GCSE’s! Thanks very much!
Sweet and glad it helped.
You teach in simple ways how can I do that
I had a lot of practice. I taught middle school for 30 years and thanks.
