In 2013 we used to hella argue who was better. I was a Kendrick head back then too lol. People finally done realized😅 i dont have to preach no more lol.
My take on Cole is that he raps to prove how good he can rap and to still be doing that this far into his career is crazier than people seem to realize. I knew he could rap the first time I ever heard him and I thought he rapped so good I had to check out the guy named Kendrick Lamar that his wiki said he was making a collab album with. Kendrick already proved he was an elite rapper and moved on to express his artistry beyond just his ability to rap. People meme Cole rapping about how good he can rap and it’s accurate.
This what ive been fighting them Cole fanatics clinging to the talking point "AtLeAst hE tHe BeTteR rApPer durr.."...early Kendrick been on that timing with the punch lines and rhyme scemes..now he prioritizes story telling with switch up on his flows and inflections...but yah Cole just aint the same level..imo
Crew you should react to this video I just watched about the background of Kendrick’s lil dark history in the streets. It’s actually really good and it gives you insight of who he kinda maybe is as a person and why he moved the way he did during the battle and like the people he holds dear and close. Its called Kendrick Lamar’s Extremely Dark and Violent past detailed by Geek about it
We need a video in the form of a Presidential debate with Cole on one side and Kendrick on the other. Of course, we'll never see this, but it would be cool to see them bring everything to the table once and for all. Who you voting for? And, Crew, you're absolutely right. This didn't help the Cole campaign. I still like Cole's style more than Kendrick though. ::puts the armor up::
Cole as an artist is overall aesthetically more pleasing, but Kendrick as a rapper is technically Superior, The ability to switch up between a typical rhyme scheme to internal rhyme schemes and hit different cadences in between bars is something cool. It's never really shown. He switches between melodic and typical delivery, but not that much range within his flows. Outside of that is just whatever appeals to whoever's ears the most. But id definitely say Friday night lights and sideline story cole edged dot imo, but post good kid , kenny was untouchable
I think we can go without J Cole music for a while. I’m pretty sick of hearing him at this point, and to be honest he’s only making😅 noise when K. Dot 🎵 is attached to his music. You know I’m not lying, because there’s no reaction content for the music he dropped. Only two songs making noise have Kendrick in them. Fuck out of here J fold
Love both.. Kdot just a different beast
Dot just different! Levels to this!
