Shinagawa has some Godzilla statues outside a restaurant somewhere and then there's the Gojira Koen (with a massive Godzilla statue doubling up as a slide) although that's technically outside of Tokyo! Still, it's an easy day trip.
so they have NO issues with you outside Toho studios video or taking photos ? I had heard of somewhat tours but have no info. if someone wanted to pose with the figure outside the place.. Also when is cherry blossom time?
Did a visit to Tokyo a few years ago and visited all 4 spots.Lucked out and just happened to come across the statue in front of the Toho Offices that was a block from my hotel. Stayed at the Godzilla hotel and the Godzilla store was just a 10 minute walk from there. Toho studios was well worth the trip even though I couldn’t get in to the actual lot. Went during March so the cherry blossoms were in full bloom and the park that surrounds the studio was so beautiful and relaxing. While walking to the studio from the train station ran into a group of male Japanese high school students who sparked up a fifteen minute conversation about my visit and why I was in their area. They may have talked to me just to practice their English but either way it was a highlight of my trip. Nicest and politest teenagers I have ever met.
Well yes but actually no. Though they share a similar situation with giant monsters destroy cities they try to accomplish different things and have different themes with gojira being about the terror of nuclear power and I'm sorry I haven't seen 20,000 fathoms or know much about it
@@kadengilliam3742 20,000 Fathoms was basically the same movie, but just not as taken as seriously as Gojira was (then again, 20,000 Fathoms was an American made movie. They didn’t feel the exact same way as Japan did about nukes obviously). It has the same premise that a bomb awakens a big reptilian monster and all. It’s just that Gojira made it feel more real. Also a notable thing about is is Ray Harryhausen’s special effects for the Beast (Rhedosaurus) but also sadly he didn’t like Godzilla because he had the assumption that it ripped off his work.
With a purposeful grimace and a terrible sound He pulls the spitting high-tension wires down Helpless people on subway trains Scream, bug-eyed, as he looks in on them He picks up a bus and he throws it back down As he wades through the buildings toward the center of town Oh, no, they say he's got to go Go, go, Godzilla (yeah) Oh, no, there goes Tokyo Go, go, Godzilla (yeah)
Yeah you are right. It’s hard to mix the audio and sound together when you edit on an iPhone. But that’s the easiest way to edit for me. However I will try my best to make a future videos sound better. Thanks for watching.
Godzilla is Japan's Mickey Mouse. Also, Gojira RULES including all the films(EVERYONE of them) and the awesome film scores for each film!
I thought Doraemon was Japan's Mickey Mouse
“ where they made the film in 1964 “
Actually 1954
Maybe the air caused the audio to say " 1964 " instead of " 1954 "
Nice to see someone OTHER THAN ME being picky and knowledgeable on Goji.
When he said 1964 I was like ;-;
I was legitimately about to correct him on that one
Film was released in Japan before .......in the US 1954
Im a big fan of Godzilla
Specially heisei and millennium era cuz of the sick themes and badass godzillas
Godzilla is now my hero and idol.
3:41 Shin Godzilla sequel confirmed
Agreed
I think when Toho returns with Godzilla I think the new series would be on shin.
The Godzilla room on the 30th floor in the Gracary Hotel is amazing aswell.
Oh I actually Love...... GODZILLA!!!!!!!!!!!!
4:32 I love that hoodie or onesie whatever, how can I get these?
I would adjust the audio track, the bass overpowers your voice and your voice gets very quiet
Maybe I need to redo this video. Thanks for the heads up.
The one shin godzilla is located in the itabashi
Man the Godzilla king of the monsters is good
While I liked the monster sequences and that “intimidation” sequence I didnt really enjoy the movie as much as I thought I was going to.
I WAS AT THE GODZILLA STORE AND THE GODZILLA HEAD LAST YEAR!!!!! 🦖🦖❤❤🔥🔥
I LOVE TITNAUS GOJIRA
i love watching godzilla king of the monsters
The orignal godzilla is 1954
And now we have the museum
On Awaji island and in Kyoto
Going to be 5 places this year
All hail to Godzilla! And to Godzilla's Son. Bwoah! Bwoah!

I was thinking about doing that park day trip one of these days! I’ll try to find the ones in shinigawa too. Thanks Tokyofox!

It varies year to year. About 3-4 months before the speculations come out. It's already passed this year. I had no problem walking around.

This was great Scott! I'm seeing the movie tomorrow!
Tell me what you think.
I will do my review about it.
Yes yeS YEEEEEEEEEES
To think that Godzilla was meant to be a Japanese version of The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms.

I ordered the Godzilla toy from Tokyo
U forgotten about Muzeum of Godzilla. :D
That’s on Awaji island roughly 8-9 normal car/train ride from Tokyo.
@@Yukendoit My bad. Great place too it's Seibuen Amusement Park with Godzilla The Ride. 🖤
Oh yeah I want to do that so bad just no free time right now.

You are right!

That’s a fair but the zip line is in Awaji which is all the way in Hyogo prefecture. That’s about 360 miles away from Tokyo.
GOJIRA IS THE BEST
there’s actually a Godzilla store in Osaka that’s bigger than the one you showed in this video! I highly recommend you check that one out too!
Thanks for this! Next time in Osaka ill go there!

2:24 Correction: 1954

@@Yukendoit No Problem

@@Yukendoit just watched one of your more recent videos it's way better. Keep up the good work!
Hey thanks for giving a couple videos other looks. If you do make it out to Japan I hope you get to see all these Godzilla spots.
I don’t wanna see Godzilla! He knocks buildings down and steps on trains! Then he and Mothra go at it and break more stuff.....
He’s got a temper for sure!
Godzilla is good for construction workers. They have to rebuild what he knocks down. They're always busy.:)
U mean 1954
I goofed!
I love all the real japanese Godzilla's but Shin for the win !!!
