Greg... nice work... maybe I missed it, but what was the internal temperature when you took it off? I know it's more of a "feel" thing with the probe and all, but was it upwards of 200* internal?
    Thanks

Great cook. Would love to see a reverse sear steak video. One of my concerns with the El Patron is closest distance from raising grate to cooking grids is 6”. Seems kind of far for reverse sear. Other than that this is a very tempting pit purchase.

Sup Greg, great idea, really great cook👍. I did one different because I over grilled it, was well-done so be rock hard, I then put it in crockpot with half stick butter, Worcestershire sauce and more rub.. was delicious mistake lol. I now grill chuck before put in crockpot that way for pulled beef.. served well no teeth lol. Need a food stand in side Rd and sell.. great video bro, tyvm tc

I buy tritip allllllllll the time, and I did this morning at about 8am this morning…. Before I saw this when it came across my YT feed….. I was planning on Sous vide for this one I just bought, I always do the 135 for mid rare, sear, rest and eat…. Or sear, rest put in the fridge until the next day and slice thin for French dip sandwiches….. I’ve not thought of doing a pulled version…. So this will have to happen next cook…. Here in Ft. worth TX tritip must not be as cheap as in Cali…. Bcuz this one I bought was $25 and was 2.75lbs… our Chuck roasts are far cheaper…. My corn on the cob I just bought was $0.25 per ear…. So I got 10 for $2.50 lol…. It’s crazy the price difference is from place to place…
A year ago this time I got an entire case of corn (48 ears) for $2.40….. yes $0.05 per ear…. Price fluctuation is wild.
Anyways. Your cook looks amazing, I’ve watched your channel for so long I can’t even remember, it started on my Roku, easily 8-9yrs ago…. Keep it coming!

🙌 Very interesting cook. I’m from the North East and we don’t normally see Tri-Tip roasts but been wanting to do a pulled roast beef for a while. Beef has been so expensive. I like the simplicity to your cook. The smoker seems interesting….wish you had more details on the setup for the getting the temp right. Minion method for the briskets? And the water pan. I’ve used the a Weber Smokey Mountain ( WSM) for years. And have recently switched to a kamato egg style smoker for its flexibility. Still exploring and learning.

Years ago when I was working and grilling less I did a tri-tip in a crockpot that you only put a packet of onion soup mix and a small jar of grape jelly. It ended up shredding well but was bland for sandwiches, and with a little adjustment of some garlic and some spice heat it was decent pulled pork beef sandwiches when the weather was bad probably haven’t made it since I picked up another Weber Kettle 👍

The Asmoke pellet grill's precise temperature control is a game-changer, allowing me to cook my meat to perfection every time. The fact that I can use different flavored wood pellets to enhance the taste of my food is fantastic. Plus, its portability is a major bonus, I've taken it camping and even on road trips. It's also environmentally friendly, using wood pellets made from recycled materials. I love that it's not just a grill, but also a smoker, roaster, and baker. The convenience of the automated control and pellet feeding system is unmatched by Qstoves. Most importantly, the rechargeable battery system allows me to grill anywhere, anytime. Asmoke truly changed the way I do outings. #Asmoke.
