This cat is a natural. Feels every note. He's clearly reached the plateau where the instrument is just an extension of himself. Very, very impressive. Would love to see a double bill of Eric Steckel and Eric Gales some day.

Drove up to a little bar in Pennsylvania with my father in law about 10 years ago or more to see this young kid play. Got to shake his hand afterward and still have the autographed t shirt. I’ve been playing similar style for over 30 years and nowhere near this level. He truly is good.
Probably the sickest interpretation of voodoo Child. I absolutely love it, I watch this video over and over again. Such an amazing command over the guitar. Takes blues and throws in some metal licks along with it. Such an amazing talent.

I totally agree! Technically superior, but if it was only that I'd pass it right by. But no, he weaves those blinding licks together with a huge amount of feel and emotion!!!! Really enjoy listening to him play, feel like I'm part of his performance.
When he puts the guitar in position 1 (bridge humbucker) at around 3:00, he blows everyone out of their socks! Brilliant!

Eric is touring Europe at the moment. Hope he gets more recognition as at this point , 19, he is just blooming into a great Blues Rock guitarist. Hope to see him on KTBA Cruise 4 next year.

Nothing more annoying than somebody trying to talk to you while you’re playing. If your in a crowd, and absolutely feel the undying need to ask the performer something - and it’s not an emergency - at the very least, wait until the song is over.
This guy is good but 8 minutes of instrumental Little Wing is too long for even Hendrix.
