    I want another of the same kind of moment like in the first game when you realize that Vader has no health bar.

    Hopefully Disney will actually take advantage of BD-1's cuteness. We barely got any merch of that lil cutie.

    Real question, will it be playable at 60 fps on a 3k series card within 3 months of launch?

    The book kind of sets up why they go their separate ways, but I'm glad to hear that the game will also explain this.
    As much as I enjoy extended media, it's never a good idea to make it 'required reading' to understand the plot.

    I really hoped when I read “open world” over and over that it was more skyrim like. That’s what we need. A huge open world hand that’s not such a linear story.
    We need to develop our own characters, skill trees and feats and abilities oh my!
    As well as the ability to choose their paths.
    Jedi. Smuggler. Bounty hunter. Trooper? Rebellion pilot? Sith.
    As though they are player classes.
    And tons of little quests and missions. Buy and build up your own ship.
    Those are the things I’ve been dying for these past decades!
    Maybe one day.

    Nice video. I'm looking forward to playing this game! I should probably revisit and complete the original first.
    Aside: Regarding point number one: It's certainly a disappointment when a follow-up game *doesn't* feel as good as it's predecessor. Generally typing, one would imagine you'd want a follow-up to feel *better*. On a related tangent, many games fail at this - especially those for which developers remove content to be released as paid DLC.

    I typically don't like fast travel in metroidvanias. Usually because it means the level design is not as strong, as they don't have to come up with satisfying short cuts.

    • @nezaeya
      @nezaeya Год назад

      No, it's because MANY asked for it. It's also because certain planets are semi-open, unlike the first. Not every reason is due to "something is wrong in the game if they're giving us this". You're also not required to use the fast travel.

    • @StarlightDragon
      @StarlightDragon Год назад

      @@nezaeya if the game is designed around fast travel, then it's unlikely designed also to make sense to not use it. The more open design is typically not to my preference. I prefer level design more like the first game, or hollow knight, or dark souls. I'm not sayin it will kill the game for me, it's just "fast travel" is a red flag to me typically.

    • @garranto
      @garranto Год назад

      I disagree because when something is big like Fallen Order was. I'd argue it as necessary.
      2D and 3D Metroidvanias require different things.
      Something like Batman Arkham Asylum doesn't need it cause it's localized all on small island. But something like how massive Metroid Prime was/is, could've benefited from fast travel system. The backtracking in Prime is just..not fun. Plus it's not like there won't be shortcuts, at least from what I've see. It'll just be fast travel to specific sections and you'll still need to traverse and create shortcuts in the area.

    • @StarlightDragon
      @StarlightDragon Год назад

      @@garranto I think I'm in the wait to see phase. It's not that I disagree with what you're saying, but I think we have different preferences. What you are describing, is exactly why I tend to prefer metroidvanias with tight level design over open world games which need to rely on fast travel.

    • @garranto
      @garranto Год назад +1

      @@StarlightDragon Well that's the thing. The levels are more expansive but it's not truly open world from everything I've seen and heard. The planet we've been seeing of mostly the past few days is the main hub planet where you'll be returning to. But I'm willing to bet there's more of what you're wanting on other planets.
      But hey you like what you like and no one can change that.
      Nice we can still have a conversation about different tastes over the Internet that doesn't devolve into BS huh?

    Glad to see they took a leaf out of Ratchet and Clank's book and just started you off with the majority of your mobility tools in the second game. You'd've needed to bend my suspension of disbelief pretty far to get me to believe that he somehow forgot how to be a jedi in 5 years.

    Easy answer. NO it doesn't. Survivor was originally advertised as a free roam, build your own adventure RPG which was supposed to be on the same level of exploration as galaxy online instead what we got was a sequel to an honestly really shitty souls like.

    • @Cityz3nn
      @Cityz3nn Год назад +2

    • @cameronm4538
      @cameronm4538 Год назад +2

      Literally not a single person has ever described it that way. If you played Fallen Order, you’d know it’s a story-driven single player adventure. Why would the sequel be any different?

    • @baki484
      @baki484 Год назад

      The game was never advertised as an RPG of any kind. They said they are expanding on what's already there. This is a story driven action adventure with a metriod level design and with what we've seen it's a massive improvement.
