What strikes me about him is how he’s just loving every second of what he does.
He's so charming and comfortable it is hard not to feel the good vibes. No one in his band is looking disengaged or weird. Great performer.

That’s someone who truly loves what he does and that’s the outcome of someone who’s been doing this for nearly 40 years
Performers only need to show that when it's go time. I'm not saying he's a phony, but that's a part of being a professional and performing. So much comes along with it. Even when you feel like crap, or are having a terrible week, when it's time to work it's time to work. He's not going to record this show without putting effort into it.

Usher in trouble if they ever meet
His vocal skills are evident yet he's very discipline. Although he could, he doesn't overwhelm a song with "runs" unlike many of his male/female counterparts. Usually when a singer has the vocal prowess comparable to usher's, they simply can't reframe from inundating songs with "runs". Conversely, Usher understands placement and he never does anything that would detract from the music, as a result, you come away feeling like you've listened to a song as he displays just the right amount of vocal nuance and skill. That's what makes him one of great singers in history of mainstream music, male or female. You should react to "Usher Sings "Georgia on My Mind" at the White House -- you won't be disappointed. Anyway, great job deconstructing the way he uses vocal dynamics in this song but listen to the other songs. Great Job.
@@Tiana-ig9lk Yeah, I remember that live performance of Do I Do with Mary J. His vocal prowess was on full display in that performance and although I respect Mary J, Usher was just singing and performing at another level. He simply took over that performance. Great duet though.

Usher (at age 44) has been doing this professionally now for what 28 years?? He’s a pro, polished, seemingly effortless vocals & one of a few I’d pay to see live. You should review Superstar (same set) next … you probably came unglued first listen 🤣🤣

I watch this brother Live when he came to Birmingham, U.K few years ago, the dude performed for 2 hours and half non-stop, he was awesome.
Her enthusiasm towards his craft not only expresses her love, but her appreciation for his talent.
didn't realize USher had perfect Pitch until T-Pain mentioned it. when he talked about working with Usher and Micheal Jackson. James Vincent Mcmorrow - Follow you down to the red oak tree. also has an amazing Falsetto. and it's impressive that he played all the instruments and produced his first album on his own. his cover of wicked game where he's playing for L'Express. is so emotional and powerful. and his Higher love cover also deserves mentioning as it adds this brightness to the song that's so different from the original.
I think you'll appreciate T Pain's performance on tiny desk. Amazing and no auto tune. Love your smile too. It's contagious.

I'm not a singer but it's really intetesting to understand more about what he's doing. I've always loved his voice but seeing this performamce was mind blowing. it's his control and smile throughout. it's amazing to watch.

something about this performance that was great was how much trust you could tell he had in his team and how comfortable he was performing alongside them. the way he smoothly passed off parts of the songs to his other vocalists to not only highlight them and their talent but also create opportunities to breathe was so perfect it's difficult to describe why it's so impressive

There was a great biography about him and it talks about his beginning and getting his voice/body prepared to sing and dance together.... him running around the pool, while jumping the chairs, and singing at the top of his lungs! It's a great watch I hope I can find.
Usher is an incredible talent & human being, his voice is an audible treasure, I'm 64 from the 70's so I tend to judge young singers today from that mold, I would like to hear more of his falsetto abilities because I am a big fan of the masters, to name a few Eddie Kendricks of The Temptations, Ron Banks of the Dramatics, Smokey Robinson, The Delfonics and The Stylistics etc. I was lucky enough to see and hear up close these awesome singers live in concert, Usher has a lot of music residing in him yet to be revealed, Ma'am, I love your analysis of every nuance in the human voice. Can you recommend a channel where I might improve my speaking voice? ... TY!
Whats cazy about this for me is that I remember being a super early follower of vedo the singer when he was doing sarah smile, april showers, etc. I've subtly knew about his success but to see his face randomly in this video as ushers backup vocals is a great feeling.
