I like the addition of the corner names in the bottom left!

Thanks for the video! Did they change Cascades? You couldn't even touch the grass before without getting a 1x. Now I see you are going half-car on it. So I guess they fixed that? It was extremely annoying.

Yeah they did, same with the first turn which became a bit more open now. At the same time they made a few other spots more strict like the exit of Britten's, where it's a bit harder now to avoid the x1

@@crexLiveweird I've been racing here all week and they definitely haven't fixed the 1x off tracks

Make sure its in official conditions this time

I never used official conditions in the past, and also not this time because my guides usually stay up to date unless there's a big patch. A change of +-3-5 °C in temperature doesn't justify the work for a new video. The brake markers wouldn't change, the braking points would shift by 1-3 meters and the changes wouldn't even be noticeable in the video. The car feels different but the actual limit doesn't shift by a lot on most tracks and in most turns. It's not like the MX-5 has night races.
In the past I used the same static conditions for every video which were close to the actual average conditions. However, it appears like iRacing changed a few things, which led to my Winton guide being driven in significantly worse conditions. The actual air temp was 67°F while I drove my lap in 78°F.
That's why I decided to take the average temperature for this season, which means my laps will sometimes be driven in slightly worse and sometimes in slightly better conditions.
That's also why I'm not planning to use the on-point conditions because as mentioned, the average is close enough and every session is slightly different anyways.
In future I'd much rather have the time I spend on those guides to evolve and add additional content instead of forcing everyone to watch "recycled" versions of the almost identical lap. Even when you look back through older videos right now you'll notice that most of the markers didn't change or move.

@@crexLive Then make it clear in the videos. I sent your 32' Ledenon lap to a friend and he couldn't get below 34'. He was frustrated because he said he did evrything like you... sure enough, you yourself couldn't get below 34' in your Livestream.
Either post guides without a time or make it clear people practicing for officials will not be able to match your times. Seems like clickbait.

@@este.bahn92 This video was posted 1 day ago, which means your friend probably hasn't practiced very much. There are plenty of other guides with this car and track combo, has your friend even gotten in the 1:50s at all?

      @crexLive  2 месяца назад +2

Well, it's not my fault he's frustrated and while they/you can try to blame me for it, it won't make them quicker.
I drove several 33's, in fact I even drove consistent 33's in my second race, but it doesn't look like you or your friend looked past the first race of my livestream. You probably looked for something that confirmed your bias and went with it. It was also clear that I could have gone quicker that race but was limited by the car right ahead of me.
There's also a difference between driving the first race in a year while streaming and avoiding incident points, and driving laps on your own where you can push over every limit because nothing matters. I don't think I need to explain why one will be slower than the other.
Anyways, even if we assume all of what you're saying is correct, it still doesn't make any sense. My third race of the stream took place in better conditions than the lap I used for this guide, and there was also a guy lapping 32's.
I wasn't joking when I said I took the average conditions for this season. Some sessions will be better than my guides and some sessions will be worse. That will always be the case, because conditions will always vary by a few degress and I decided to pick the spot right in the middle.
Last but not least, I'd get some of your outrage if I'd really be clickbaiting but not only are the conditions I'm driving in completely transparent, you can also look up all of my telemetry and results. If you compare the lap from my guide with the quickest lap from my stream you'd see that my driving was shit. My line wasn't clean, partly all over the place as well as my brake inputs. Probably because I was tired after driving 3 hours straight instead of driving 20 minute stints like I do for my guides.
Look, no hard feelings and I'm always open for constructive feedback, but when your friend wants to tell me they can't do what I did when I literally get generated better race sessions than this guide was driven in, in the very stream they are criticising, then there's not much I can do.

@@crexLive If all you care about brake markers and the overall guide, why put your time? It's not going to be relevant right? Just say it in the video and that it might not be representative of the conditions in official settings.
You obviously do clickbait, since you put "setup" in the title even though you use the baseline. I get it, clicks are your main interest, so why not own it? "If I put my time I will get more clicks even though conditions may vary widldy". That's perfectly understandable... so either don't put setup+time or own that you want more clicks.
Other than that your guides are great.
