A superb late 1680 dial and hands on a 5.2-million serial with plenty of lug volume remaining. This is a friendly and daily drivable point of entry into the world of vintage Rolex. Best, Tim
My 1680 dates from 1979 (5.3) I have worn it daily for the past 23 years. Recently got it back from service and it’s good as new. As the years pass, it gets much more attention from those who know fine watches. There are so many fantastic watches on the market today, but the 1680 is still my favorite.
This is way I'm a Rolex fan. Truly ageless and a flawless design. For me a perfect sport watch. It even looks better than the new super case professional Rolex watches. The dail is breathtaking. This was a loved watch because it looks cared even though used. An amazing watch and a perfect review for a watch of this stand and importance.
Great patina, hands and dial, but the date window kills it for me , transitional model so to speak, retro and modern simultaneously ,if its vtg w/ cyclops and crown guards why not just go newer? BIG CROWN NO DATES RULE THE ROOST

Need to see how to set the date on this watch you missed a lot on stem on the watch ro
Beautiful...
I don't like the modern one, but this one is awesome. Want it bad to complement my 1969 patina.coloured Speedy.
Just call them lug holes as that's what they are. They are not "strap apertures" haha.
Legend 🏆❤️

1570 movement.. as you’d show if you popped the back open so we could see it. 1575 is the 24hr GMT movement
Call me crazy but , If it was me Id replace the hand set and save the old ones .
Avery Huejwang you're insane haha
Roelf van der Merwe yeah I know . I’m just thinking legibility for everyday wear though.
Save them for what? Wear the hell out of it!
