Very interesting. In the birth certificate sample you provide, the father was actually a "slip maker" in the pottery industry. Slip is clay slurry that is used in pottery.
Diolch Dai, another good vid. Just in case you haven't heard already, I found out yesterday that the GRO has extended the availability of online £2.50 death certificates, up to 1957. Time to give the credit card another hammering!
