I am in the market for a new chartplotter/ fishfinder, my garmin 3210 just crapped out. It was a solid unit, but old and abused heavily. How does the touchscreen work in the rain or with wet hands? I know my phone freaks out. My cockpit is totally exposed so when its wet, I'm wet. The Garmin 3210 had buttons that always worked. I'm paranoid that in a storm I won't be able to use the screen properly.
I just binge watched your Element series. Your probably the best reviewer I've watched on RUclips.
    Thanks you posting these videos!

Thanks a lot. I have zero issue with the Garmin touchscreen on both units I have. I’m in a kayak and ever more exposed to water. Fingers wet and it still functions and responds when I touch it. Was just in some rain last week and touched the screen and it responded as normal. If you plan to stick to Garmin then I’d say you can’t go wrong with the Ultra or the 93 series

Have you installed this yet, I was gonna go with the echomap 64cv but I heard that the clear view doesn’t show detail like Lawrence systems (structure or fish) There was a side by side video somewhere.

Yeah I've had it on for a few months now. Not sure what you're speaking of but the sonar imaging is great. I posted screenshots recently on my instagram. Feel free to go look at them.

LOVE IT! Best decision I made making that switch. The Garmin stuff just has way more features and functionality. Unfortunately Raymarine is slow to innovate with the software to make a more robust user experience compared to the Garmin unit.

A lot of folks ask about the wet hands/screen question and its valid. I can say that with this unit, the wet doesn't impact its functionality. If my hands are wet or if the screen is wet...I can still touch the screen and the unit responds just fine. I can honestly say this is the best Finder I've used to date and I've used every brand. I'm really happy with its performance and more importantly the Customer Service I've received. This original unit actually went bad in like 4 months and Garmin, after doing some quick tests over the phone, immediately sent me a new unit while I shipped them the faulty one. That gave me a lot of confidence in the product company. Now, that was my experience and I've seen others that didn't have as great experiences.
