It's depending on no of coloured pins you have available and the finger width. As I say in the intro, for boxjoints I can do finger widths in steps of 0.5mm, using 8 coloured pins for the half numbers, and have as many fingers as I want. If doing a bridle joint with max 7 fingers, I can do them in any width (in steps of 0.05mm) with 8 coloured pins, not limited to 0.5mm steps.
