NEET-UG 2024 row: Ex-professor of IIT Kanpur debunks IIT Madras report, says report was rushed

- Netizens and members of the medical community have expressed strong opposition to the IIT Madras report on NEET-UG 2024.
There are claims that the institute provided manipulated data analysis to support the NTA's position that there was no widespread leakage in the NEET exam.
To gain more insight into these claims, we spoke with Dr Dheeraj Sanghi, a former professor at IIT Kanpur. He has previously been a part of the committee overseeing the administration of JEE.
Therefore, his analysis of the report may be the most revealing so far.

To all those misguided fellows sitting here and listening to ma'am I would like to point out few things
1. The ex Prof told that the inflation would be constant that is a complete rubbish because the marks increased by the student is bound to be more in higher ranges of marks
Lets say last year 720 was scored by 4 people and this year 8 people and for 620 it was increased from 150 people to 200 then the increase is of 33% here then it appears it's an 100% increase on scale of 720 range but very less on range of lower marks, hence it shud be a case of cheating because for them it's not same but how does this make sense
2. False narrative of 6 student
It was before the reneet on 23 june now the rank 62 is held by a person scoring 716 so please correct your info
3. Claims of skewing the data
How can it be possible that the top 1.4 lakh student has scored the marks between 0-300 does it makes any sense and also it's clearly written on the bottom that it's made from all students who appeared if compared with that of 2023 a regular trend to shift towards right is seen but according to them it's wrong. Also you guys haven't mentioned this but it SHOWS THE NUMBER OF STUDENTS who scored that marks not the rank are you an idiot or what.
4.Claima by Vivek Thakur
This guy owns a coaching institute that has not produced any rankers unlike last year so please be mindful of whom you take as reference please he is also an IIT alumnus but still he doesn't know anything about IIT.

I fully agree with Prof Sanghi's view. There is a terminology known as spurious correlation. The analysis done by IIT M is a nice example of this. They must understand that both the events are independent so such type of analysis is of no use. its a clear case of corruption and must be handled accordingly and not by giving a new direction of solving a math problem.
I would really urge the NTA and ministry of education to file a defamation suit against you and all other RUclipsrs for spreading fake information and creating havoc

5 out of those students appeared for re-exam and all got 680+

first of all those 6 topprs from same centre are now no more toppr because their grace marks have been removed and 5 of them have attempted retest ...... secondly if there's a issue regarding rank inflation then lets be clear here that some factors are there which will never show a similarity between year to year curves of rank inflation...........1) the syllabus was reduced lets say 20 -25 ...(2) there is a huge boom in online education from 2023 onward which is easily reflected in last years cutoff also...(3) the students freshly appearing are more or less not from the covid batch means improved first and second year concepts ...(4) increasing aspirants (5) remote areas and rural areas are now exposed to higher education bcoz of pw unacademy and other online classes ....pw with almost 5-10 lakh students alone studying for neet ...how will you expect the same curves after all this... plz explain if needed
All points are useless except syllabus reduction but also the question level was similar to previous year.

@@user-ze4fp8vi8h try to understand the effect of COVID. I don't know about you but my 11th 12th was during COVID times and it affected me. I needed to take drops to reach where I am now. And also online was a new concept and people needed time to get used to it. Now people are comfortable with it . And thus you see the results.

Syllabus is not adhered and many questions came out of Syllabus. Questions in T3 Booklet came out of Syllabus sir. In Physics, as per new syllabus mentioned, 4 Questions came out of Syllabus. They are question number 10, 14, 21 and 23.
In Botany Question 137 and in Zoology Question number 194. Why deleted questions were asked in Question Paper?
