    @bowersfarms Yes it does. Its just retracted all the way.
    Ive run a 3 lever foot swing JD 310C. They are a BITCH to get used to. But, it makes you that much better of an operator, and makes you cherish the new joysticks, or the 2 stick backhoes.

    Thanks letsdig18 . I didn't see that this one had an extendahoe. While I m not very good on a two stick I can really make time with a three stick , cant be much more difficult with a additional cylinder.

    Case is a good machine , ive ran them since the early 60`s , they are tough and do alot of work ,
    i like them ,, not hard to run , once you get use to them , its like everything else . go run a cable machine if you think a Case is tough , youll see what i mean , , thanks for the posting , I really enjoy your videos ! keep them coming please , thanks !

    ok a silly question. all the backhoes i see in videos from US, they have these extending rear "legs" (the ones that stabilize the whole machine when it digs), but here they are all equipped with vertical ones. even same models have different rear "legs"

  • @wraith0127
    @wraith0127 11 лет назад

    no, it's just a matter of designers taste, in fact, my step-father has a case 580 from way back and it has the same style "outriggers" or "legs" or "stabilizers" (whatever you want to call them) that swing out like in the video

    My grandpa bought a 580ck and an E brand new. Case is the best in a bad place because you can run the backhoe and the loader at the same time, that is if you have a 3 or 4 lever model. I have run Cats, JDs, and New Hollands but Case is the best. They are the easiest to run after you get used to it. I am 13 and am not to bad myself.

    bucket , dipper, boom ....and two for the stabilizers.

    fun to watch chris preforming an epic fail on a machine that is to easy to operate to me......

  • @carlsharp6705

    A good operator takes his time in the beginning of running a peice of equipment for the first time. What he is doing is letting the hydraulic fluid to start to flow into his veins. After a little time the fluid starts to run to his brain with no restrictions and that's when the machine becomes part of him. If your a operator I believe for the most part it takes roughly 3 days. If after that and things are still be operated like a robot get rid of him and find another operator

    you gotta give the man a break all you new guys out there with your fancy excavator controls on the new 580s come run one of these i'm 14 and i grew up running a 580 case backhoe when i was 5 i learned how to run a 580 backhoe,200c john deere excavator,a terex rock truck, and a gradall. So for all you guys saying he sucks its not easy not everything thing was like the machines today back then everything we had the machines that were all knobs and levers that moved back and forth not side to side

    Once I figure out my proper working idle, it usually, smooths out for me. Every machine is a bit different; but for the most part If you have enough power, to supply all your rams at once, then the hardest part is backing off the controls..

  • @wraith0127
    @wraith0127 11 лет назад

    oh, sorry, and also i've seen many other backhoe loaders with "fixed" outriggers, ones that don't swing out, but only press down into the ground. I live in the US and have all my life.

    when you say "4 stick" you're talking about the old "push-pull" lever type controls? if so, i first learned how to drive a tractor on one of those! well... 3 stick with pedal swing, 2 additional outrigger sticks, on a 20 or so year old tractor with leaks, low hydrolic fluid, no muffler, and I can do pretty damn good with it, it takes fineness and the ability to work at least 3 sticks at once...(wow, that sounds gay) oh, and i've NEVER had any training, i just jumped in and tried it

    I just got a 1960's-1970's International harvester 3616 and am learning the 4 stick hoe on the back. It is tough to move smooth. Just like anything practice makes perfect. I hope to get more time on it soon. It is just for our property and i am a first time operator at almost 40 years old. So there is no pressure to be good or fast, but it is a lot of fun and very challenging.

    Letsdig18 , you are very right "arm chair operators" are a dime a doz. How true..... Chris' ,Your operator skills of the video is good, time goes with speed and smooth operating. Good job just keep at it ...
    As I do recall back in the 1970's, the Deere was extremely smooth, and did have more finesse in working obstacles comparing to the two lever Case. The cases were extremely fast and little control over the quick and highly resistant pressure in the two sticks. . But, the Case three lever with foot swing was very accurate comparing to the two lever Case . ...Here is a great selling point of the older Case hoes as they had metal as good as the CAT. Thanks for your fine videos and God Bless all

    as far as i know, yes, because it would be the customer who decides what the tractor will be used for and if they don't have room for swinging outriggers, they could opt for the vertical option, but i've never bought a tractor so i don't know for sure

  • @robertm8250
    @robertm8250 10 лет назад +2

    I have the same machine it is easy for me now after 30 years off and on use.
    I hold the bucket control in my left hand and the two in my right and pivot my wrist and fingers to get smooth motion by running two or three functions at once.
    swing and out dipper to slow it down and then dump bucket. timing is critical to release swing before releasing the other levers. Move a rock around on the flat ground with the teeth for practice.

    I learned the Case machine at 11 years old. I honestly think once you have it mastered they were one of the easiest, smoothest machines to run. I preferred them to the 2 stick Massey and John Deere’s of the time. Cycles were fast and overall the machines were nimble and quick compared to the competitors. There is a reason Case owned the market for many years.
