The Final Empire was going to be the first book I read in 2023 but it ended up being the last book I finished in 2022 because it was just. so. good. Elantris is next up on my Sanderson TBR. I think I've decided to read them in release order lol.
I love your channel! I've low-key been binge watching all your videos for the past couple weeks. I've had a lot of bad dumped on me all at once and your videos have been a little safe place for me lately.
I read (and did a reading vlog for) Mistborn and I am still shook… it has a character named Sazed who is my favorite supporting character ever. It was my first Sanderson and I’m impressed with how approachable his writing is!
I started The Final Empire in late December, but I just finished it last night and it was amazing :,) I hope you enjoy it whenever you get to it! And I hope you're feeling better!!!
Feel better soon! I’m rereading Mistborn Era 1 this month and on the second book Well of Ascension right now. I think you will enjoy Era 1 as well as Era 2. If you don’t want to commit to another series by BS just yet you could read Elantris or Warbreaker
Since I saw you were reading Daughter of the Moon Goddess, I decided to read it and it ended up being my favorite book of the year. The time jumps didn't bother me but I do see how it could bother others. I think it adds to that "epic" feel of the book in that it spans a lot of time. But also kind of agree, I "where's the training montage?" LOL.
Fav book of December was Daughter of the Moon Goddess or Slashing Through the Snow which was the end of a trilogy of cozy Christmas murders (something I never thought could be possible lol)
so glad you loved daughter of the moon goddess (and that me and cass picked well for the book club haha)!! and slashing through the snow sounds incredibly intriguing🤔
@@katieisreading I would definitely recommend the trilogy for just something fun for christmas time. The audiobooks were great with the voices, and really gave the characters extra personality
I think December was a really great reading month for everyone, I read so many good books in December. My favorite was A man called Ove, I love that book from the bottom of my heart. Also you don't sound atrocious just a little bit different, hope you feel better soon💛💛 great video as always.
it really seems like! that makes me so happy that we’ve all read is many amazing books recently! also, ive heard really good things about a man called ove, so glad you enjoyed it so much!! and thank you🥺💛
My favorite book was Daughter of the moon Goddess and I don't think I had a least favorite book. But I am planning on finishing up the final empire this month in January I just have the hero of ages left to read and then read more of his works.
I think my favourite book of December was Today Tonight Tomorrow by Rachel Lynn Solomon. It wasn't the best romance book I ever read but... it was simply the right book at the right time, if that makes any sense. So that's why I just had a really good time with that one 😊
Another video this is wonderful news!! That sponsor transition was actually amazing😂 I only ended up finishing legendborn in December but I did really enjoy that one.
I always love watching your wrap-up videos or any video really! The timing of the upload was perfect so I could watch while having my morning coffee! My favorite book was “Lightbringer” which is the third book in the Empirium trilogy!
@@katieisreading I’m going to continue the series to see if it gets better but from the library because I don’t wanna spend money on books I might hate haha🤭
The best book of December is easily The Mad Ship by Robin Hobb) Slightly dissapointed I didn't have time to finish The Ship of Destiny, but I hope I can finish it by the end of winter)
You should read warbreaker before you read oathbringer. It's a standalone (for now) and some characters show up in both books. It not necessary but this way you get to experience the "it that.. yes... it is" moment. I'm excited for your cosmere journey, hope you love it☺️.
Loved this wrap up, hope you’re feeling better soon! 🫶🏾 I had a decent reading month in December, but I was mostly proud of myself for getting to all the holiday reads that I put on my December tbr. My favorite book was definitely A Worthy Love by A.E. Valdez. Wishing you an even better reading month in January! 💙
I was disappointed with Glow as well. It kept repeating and the story didn't really develop. The third book left you with a big cliffhanger and then the fourth was just an empty palm
I'm hiring you when I get a sponsor to write the transition because that was iconic 😂
i’ll even give your a friends and family discount ;)

A Katie video is a great day to start the day😊

What Lies In The Woods was amazing. I could not put that book down.

I read The Final Empire a few years ago and loved it! I really need to finish the rest of the series.

The Skyward series from Branden Sanderson is also sooo good!!
i definitely want to pick this series up at some point!!!

hey that’s amazing that you didn’t have a least favorite book of the month! i hope you enjoyed the rest of the final empire!!
@@katieisreading Right, but there is always a month where I have at least both each month
My favourite book of December was Origin which is the 4th book of the Lux series ❤️
Telling and not showing is very much how I felt when reading Daughter of a Moon Goddess.
Hope you feel better soon!
thank you!!

My favorite book was a manga called Bizenghast, it has a really nice and detailed art style and a cool gothic setting, I really liked it!
ooh a cool gothic setting? maybe i’ll have to check it out haha, so glad you loved it!!
My fav book i read was the vanishing stair⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️and my least fav was shatter me⭐️⭐️
poor shatter me haha, i can see why it’s not for everyone… but so glad you loved the vanishing stair!!

i actually recently bought warbreaker so now i might have to read it before oathbringer (i do love some good crossovers), thank you for telling me!!☺️
Take care Katie, you need some rest. Thanks for this vlog. 🙋
thank you!!
I just tried to read Lunar Love and I DNF'd at like 50 pages. Its a great concept but not nearly enough substance to the characters to get me hooked.
❤❤❤
