As a new kayaker who’s just dropped his baby off the roof of the car (old age, mine not the boats) I found this really helpful. Good concise description of the product and how to use it.
I’ll subscribe and if you’re ever in the west coast of Scotland there’s a dram waiting. (Glass of single malt)
Thanks a ton!
Great job. You covered all the important items with excellent video and sound quality.
My brother bought one and I will be helping with the installation.
I'll bring extra padding!
right on!
Great idea, especially for someone with limitations. Stepping on the seat...that was a good selling point for me, eventually.
I've had to do it a bunch!
@@RiverKingsKayak at this point, I'm not even worried about my seats. But, for my next vehicle, I think I'm doing this.
Thule killer bro!! I really like that setup, super clean, low profile, pretty sick of you ask me! I need to show you what I've been doing to secure excess straps, I was shown this by a farm kid. It completely eliminates any excess and all flopping. And it's not that difficult to undo either😉🤔👍
Make a quick video!!
Awesome setup! I’m strongly considering this. The only thing that makes me hesitate about this system vs the Hullavator is that the Hullavator transports the kayak flat vs a more upright angle like the Tooenjoy. It wouldn’t make a difference on my sedan, but the extra height might be a bigger concern on my truck (has a hard top shell). Just a consideration.
right on Christy!
Good setup. Could use something like that. Two frozen shoulders, damaged back and neck and my crossbars are at 2m (6'7") and I'm only 1.8m (5'11").
Yes, this would be a big help to you.
We went with a trailer, this works as well. Also this may not work for longer boats or glass boats.
It works for longer boats as well. It will need more padding for glass boats.
oh wow really cool! i would need two but would two fit on top of my Jeep JL! im thinking probably not
The rack takes roughly 22" of space from the inside edge to the last attachment point. It can overhang the bar from that outside attachment point. So, if you have large enough and the right style of cross bars, you can definitely get two on there.
@@RiverKingsKayak cool! Thank you
How easy is it to take off the assembly, leaving the frame? especially for one person? With my Hullivator, it used to be fairly easy but as I age it's becoming more difficult to do it solo (awkward weight and angle when trying to remove pin)
ruclips.net/video/9C3-jQAnVgc/видео.htmlsi=-g7U8cY0mEQ3XAkd&t=302. this shows just that at min mark 5:00 .
Should have demo'd this at RockaDock!
for sure Bob!
How is it driving on freeways for an hour or more?
I use sea kayaks 12ft. Recommend this rack or not?
No problem!
Thanks for the great review. I have a 2020 4Runner. would I be able to fit 2 of these on top. I have the factory rack
Yes, with the right crossbars...at least 53" bars
This thing is freakin awesome
I agree, it is pretty cool!!
So its basically a Hullivator for half the price? Nice!
Pretty much
@@RiverKingsKayak the Hullivators are nice. We sell a decent amount of them, but they jumped $150 in less then a year. The showdown is my second recommendation usually if price is of concern but this setup is price competitively enough to replace the showdown.
Works out about the same price as the hulla over here in the UK once import etc is added :'( but we do have the Yakima showdown, thats a good cheaper alternative
what about two ww kayaks? Do we need two systems?
Yes it will only fit and lift one

I noticed that you had another set of j hooks on the other side for an additional kayak. My question is, does the other j hooks intefere or hit the top of the lift assist assembly when you have another kayak on the other side?
No, you can get another one up there...
Can you mount another one on the other side of the car/truck?
If your bars are wide enough
i wonder about a nissan frontier with roof racks
Yes, should be a great combo
How do you remove the lift so that it clears the garage when not in use? Is it possible?
Min mark 5:10 in the video.
I don’t know how I missed that. I can’t thank you enough. Life saver!!
Can it do your yukon
Yes sir! it is rated to 100lbs.
Sweet!
it is def pretty nice!
What the max weight it can carry…12 ft hobie passport R
I would refer you to the website for those numbers.
👊😎👍
In my area, it could be easily stolen off the car - drawback.
If you parked in a sketch spot, could store inside? But yes, a locking mechanism would be nice.
Oh and i forgot to use the
Where can we buy in western n.c.
The amazon link in the description may be your best bet.
Found diagram of the size. ..a person will need rails about 65 inches long if you need two lifts
@jam7547 not exactly, with the correct rails, it will cantilever the ends of the rails. 53 " rails will work
@@RiverKingsKayak I stand corrected
@jam7547 I have some new rails on the way...I will put up a video soon...
Will this work on a Prius?
Not sure...
To put the Prius on top of the 4runner?... 😄
