This song is about her dog, but it's also about love. A dog's love is unconditional. Charlie waiting for her in the rain outside is just such a warm and pure image - you can just imagine him wagging his tail, getting soaked by the rain but not even noticing, wanting nothing more than to see her and be with her and share all the hugs and kisses. This is beautiful enough, but imagine what it would be like for a person to wait for you to get home like that too? Mallrat must have buckets of love to give and I hope she finds the right people and pups to share it with.

These lyrics hit hard I have a daughter who’s 3 years old and I work out west and me and her mum broke each others hearts and her mum smokes and I can just imagine my 3 year old daughter feeling alone like a broken family feeling and getting lost in her own little innocent world to try and block it out .. and it makes me cry

This was the song I played quietly in the background as I developed trust and a bond with a semi-feral kitten who needed medical care. He was the sweetest boy who loved playtime and cuddles. He gave nose boops and forehead kisses morning, noon, and night. He cared for his other adopted litter mate in such tender ways I've never seen before in a kitty. I thought he was recovering and we were going to be forever friends until everything changed and he received a fatal FIP diagnosis. Less than a month later he left this world.
My heart is broken. This songs now brings me to my knees with tears and grief, but I would never change those few months together. He got to know love, care, and comfort before he died just under a year of age (one year old birthday would've been February 14, 2024). This song keeps coming up in my playlist. I can't bring myself to skip it, but dear Bastet I need a break from the tears. I love you always and forever my precious Hank"aroo". You changed me forever and I'll keep loving you until it's my turn to leave this life. Rest in peace my little nose booper 🩵🕊️🐾🌈

I think of my dog and cat when I hear this. I was really feeling nothing but you made me feel something. I think about you when I sing, I think you might be an angel. They both have changed my world. I was not happy until I got my pup, and my cat was not well but living on a tight budget to treat her. Well worth it. I got judgement from my family and few friends, but I was in a dark place when I got her diagnosis I had to help her to help me.
