I enjoyed every sleeper, point, signal tone, tunnel, horn-blast, station and trains. The lighting was good and the image was steady. It shows that the Railworks 3 Rail Simulator game is fairly accurate.
Awesome vid mate! Gotta love those overtakes by Pendolino's!! Bet those 2 86's at 18:20 must have been feeling disgraced being overtaken by a semi-fast working since they used to be the ones overtaking everyone!! Greetings from Tenerife! =-D
The top speed of the fleet was originally 100 mph (160 km/h), but all 350/1s were modified to allow 110 mph (180 km/h) running from December 2012, in order to make better use of paths on the busy WCML
love the vid. the strange thing is that all the cab ride vids i've seen of pendolinos, voyagers, Meridians and HSTs, this 350 Desiro looks like its travelling fast than them all. Great vid
It means Temporary Speed Restriction. It's a temporary speed the Driver must travel when imposed by Network Rail when travelling over track defects etc. The Driver will know about these before driving. You also get ESR's which are Emergency Speed Restrictions. Basically the same thing as a TSR but the Driver will not know about them before they start driving. Extra warnings are given for these.
So how do you go about getting into the cab? I can only assume that you need some sort of pass to do so. Either that or a member of your family is in someway involved with the railways
Nice trip! I couldn't see many CLSs on the route - maybe it was the angle of the camera. Don't we have to sound the horn before tunnel entry/exit anymore? Enjoyed the video, thanks for sharing driver. Bob
thanks for this. How on earth do you get the view??. Now for a puzzle. This gives a whole new meaning to riding a push bike from Bletchley to London Euston. -------------------------- Let me explain:--- a 32" TV / MONITOR & a training bike all in my bed room LOL I hated my exercise bike UNTIL I FOUND ALL THIS . THANKS AGAIN. NOW I'm of to Germany on my push bike LOL.
There is no such thing. Its a vigilance alarm, basically if none of the main function controls are operated in a space of time (normally 1 minute or so), an alarm will sound in the cab for the driver to acknowledge. He does this by taking his foot of the pedal (which acts as a dead mans handle) and reapplying pressure on the peddle. If he was not to do this then emergency brakes will apply as the computer thinks the Driver is no longer present in the cab or has sustained injury etc.
This is Cool in the cab of a 350 P.S. Love the pendo at the start and the horn. But, the stupid Weather aaaaarrrhhhh the weather is the worst Stupid rain! The services on the journey are London Overground, Virgin Trains, London Midland, London Underground and Southern:)
No its not, ive actually talked to a pendo driver and he says if the driver is to have a heart attack then he releases the pressure and the emergency brakes apply and a notice goes to the rear cab and the nearest signal station
1madaboutguitar You are clearly more stupid than you sound. Rail works doesn't have someone repositioning the camera or a spattered bug on the windscreen. This is REAL. Like you know a real train, with real passengers onboard. Not a game.
@millsy1804 You dont have to watch it, sorry for wasting your time, but if you haven't noticed you seem to be the only person out of 3,109 people to find this so boring! So when we want your petty little opinion we'll ask for it!

That is very good braking skill coming into Leighton Buzzard!
This was brilliant. Fascinating. Looking forward to Part 2.
thanks for the explanations which are placed in the lower edge of the video...nice to know things !
the class 350's were originally for south west trains, sorry for any spelling mistakes
fantastic video, the sounds, swaying cab--almost a ghost of an excellent 87 ride!!! seems the driver is keen to get home :)))
Nice. Dont see many of these on youtube. thanks for uploading this
LUV your work guys!!
Like being there in the cabin!
Beautiful scenery.....
Most enjoyable. Thank you for sharing
What an amazing video!! 👍👍
I enjoyed every last moment of it.
Very Nice Trains In Another Part Of Our World
Ah hello Millenniumforce never expected to see you here after 6 years

I do like the 350 class (Desiro) and therefore glad that Seimens got the Thameslink contract.
Hardly any passengers in any station ! Compare with that of ours in India ! Good video !

Great ride. Enjoyed it all. Make more!

a 32" TV / MONITOR & a training bike all in my bed room LOL
I hated my exercise bike UNTIL I FOUND ALL THIS . THANKS AGAIN.
NOW I'm of to Germany on my push bike LOL.
My heart skipped a few beats at 2:30. I thought you'd rerailed!
the box down the side i think it's signal cable, which powers/controls the signals
At the start we're on the Up Slow, to our right is the Down Slow, then the Up Fast, finally the Down Fast.

Fantastic - well done
Great video!
nice video! i just wanted to ask what the bleeps are i can hear. i know the signal bleeps im just on about the other ones.
@rachaelmatt I have to admit the quality does make it look like a realistic Train Simulator
Berkhamsted is my local - I'm down there a lot! :D
Just a quick one @Rachaelmatt how did you film this ? and do you work for LM ?
Interesting cab vids matt :)
Has the middle right track always been the up fast line?
I'm sure it used to be the on the left side!?
Im a train spotter to do you mind
telling me which stations are the best for trains
going through no stop
It wasn't a T S R it was a E S R emergency speed restriction and these are not published in the weekly operating notice 👍🏻
Nice vid, did anyone spot the speed camera in the back of the van lol
AWS or know as automatic warning system as the train passes a signal at double yellow, single and red
What? You go down Berkhamsted a lot? How did I not know?
Cool video!
Nice Video, Thanks!!
WHAT'S WITH THE WIGGLY LINES IN THE WINDSCREEN?
ARE THEY DEFROST/HEATING ELEMENTS?
I take it this is a commuter service to Euston? You seem to be just flying along. What is the average top speed you are doing?
Like the 2 tone at 0:59
Where did you get this route and is it for Railworks?
They look like they are ganging up on him at 20:30 when they are coming straight at the train aha
No its not, ive actually talked to a pendo driver and he says if the driver is to have a heart attack then he releases the pressure and the emergency brakes apply and a notice goes to the rear cab and the nearest signal station
Good video, Thanks!!
I think it means track speed restriction I might be wrong.
What are all the wavy lines for ?
Cool. This is Railworks. I have this too.
This is real... Not rail works.
Ha Ha, you don't fool me . I bought this add on 3 days ago. Im still learning it though. Thanks for the tips.
1madaboutguitar You are clearly more stupid than you sound. Rail works doesn't have someone repositioning the camera or a spattered bug on the windscreen. This is REAL. Like you know a real train, with real passengers onboard. Not a game.
I take it you cant tell the difference between reality and animated, this is so obviously not Railworks bud, come on no one is that stupid.
wow, lol
like this same track crossing is made in western railways,Mumbai,India
Cool
i my the only one that saw at 6:14 the nige mecedes g wagon?
its a Birmingham New Street-London Euston service I presume :)
Needs a Silverliner IV horn.
Nice :D
are you a driver as in drove this?
who cares, just enjoy it for what it is, a cab view of a high speed train in Britain
That's goof braking. It looks like it's still going full speed under the bridge at about 5:30, I thought it was never going to stop there.
Oh wait!! Nevermind the last comment!! Wrong video!
Love these videos ! btw what is that crap on the screen ? bird crap..... nice.... :)
Id be guessing its a heated windscreen :)
Why don't you apply to become a train driver? Would you do the job for a living if you could?
@ronnoc1k8 LOL that wasn't me being mean :p
LOL I take this route to work every morning! Bit pricey at £400 per month though :(
it is old rail what are not being used waiting to be moved
20:34 badass moment
20.30 Wonderful.
And you can only take your foot off for 3 seconds or the brakes will be applied :)
@millsy1804 dont watch it then??
@rachaelmatt ok i accept
@millsy1804 You dont have to watch it, sorry for wasting your time, but if you haven't noticed you seem to be the only person out of 3,109 people to find this so boring! So when we want your petty little opinion we'll ask for it!
